It's a shame isn't it? Though, the anime show Outlaw Star wasn't so bad. I used to watch it all the time! It was a really good anime show, but now that I think about it, it kinda just went on, and on and on. But I was just a kid!

The worst thing about anime - if you watch the English dub, then you'll see that more often than not, the voices will suck. Also, the English versions of anime are likely to be edited.

The worst thing about manga - manga comes out slowly in countries other than Japan.

Most Anime that are out, do not follow the storyline of the original manga. I wish they did..but they don't. And that's ONE of the wrost things about both genres. The other thing is the dubbing. Some are just plain BAD, and so I've stuck with the original language (Japanese), to fully enjoy a series.

Only thing I can complain about is when they bring it over here (U.S.) and take things out such as sertain parts, blood, and edit the language to below pg-13...

Also voiceovers can be better in just about every other anime they bring over here.

To me, the worst is when you think that something can happen because of what the anime does, then you try it and it doesn't work at all. It's kinda depressing.

And Adult Swim and Cartoon Network do mess up a lot of good animes.

Yea, I know a person who encountered that problem. He told his friend that he read Love Hina, and the other guy thought it was basically hentai. How funny is that? Also one of the worst things is to get bullied over what you admire, and then mangas or animes happens to be one of them. So sad...

I agree with most of the people who previously posted about the whole crap dubbing thing, I can't even watch dubs anymore cuz they make my skin crawl!!

Another thing I can't stand though is really getting into a manga series and then having to wait for it to come out in English (if you can't find a scanlation on the internet)

the worst anime's are the ones that evidently targeted at an american audience... the ones full of metaphysical analogies, supposedly reflective of american counterculture(s). when they focuse more on dazzling the viewer than on the substance of the film... and worst of all, when they translate japanese rock songs into english.

The worst thing about Anime is fillers, Naruto is a good example of this....The worst thing about Manga is the wait.

Most dubbed anime is pretty bad, especially when they go on CartoonNetwork. But it's pretty good on adultswim though. They don't cut anything and when they do, it's not a whole lot. Maybe they censor some things but not to the point where it just plain sucks like Naruto for instance.

Anime - when the dub is horrible, and when there are too many cuts.

Manga - the funny translations XD And the horrible grammar that some translations have.
