Have u heard that they made Star Trek as manga? What do you think about it made into a manga series? is it retared or totally awsome! i think its retarded

That was thanks to horrible series like Voyager and Enterprise. Enterprise was the worst.. When will they learn that time travel is one of the most overused gimmicks for sci-fi series and can actually ruin the storyline? Deep Space Nine was okay but then they started giving writers too much freedom to stray from Gene Roddenberry's vision of the Star Trek universe with later series and the TNG movies.
Other than that I feel that the manga series is a huge mistake. I'm a big continuity nut and feel that any book/video/comic should all be contained in the same universe like Star Wars.
Edit: I may be wrong but I heard that unlike Star Trek every Star Wars book and movie are in the same continuity.

well they would make a lot of money from all of the hardcore fans but it is still kind of pointless though... i mean people still buy startrek stuff and from what i've heard their ratings are still OK.

Can't get any more cliche than that. Kirk there looking oddly macho and muscular with his pointing forward to the great beyond and look at how his fist is clenched in typical human defiance, Spock looking like some secret agent because he obviously looked like that all the time in the series (as opposed to staring blankly and saying "that is highly illogical captain"), you got Sulu there who was nothing but the Enterprises chauffer holding a phaser too, Bones there looking quite sophisticated but calm, as all doctors are, oh and of course Uhara or whatever her name is on one knee, and despite being Kirks secretary she is READY TO POUNCE INTO ACTION BOLDLY THEY GO WHERE NO SERIES HAS BEEN DUMB ENOUGH TO GO BEFORE
