"The series follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma as he pursues a young psychopath named Johan, whose life Tenma once saved. The story rapidly progresses through a number of locations: it starts in Düsseldorf, Germany, passes through Berlin, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Polish cities, Budapest, cities in the Czech Republic such as Prague, and other cities and villages."

That's a basic description of the series. It's pretty complicated and it has a lot of subplots, so that doesn't exactly do it justice.

I've seen Monster the whole way though, and damn that is one absolutely awsome anime.

Indeed it is. I've seen it from beginning to end as well. Sure, there were some parts that were slightly slow moving, but the suspense definitely makes up for it. 'Tis my second favorite series of all time. Too bad it is so underrated though.

My favorite is Johan, but I also liked The Magnificent Steiner.

This anime is probably one of the best anime story wise I've ever seen. I mean it's just...wow.

I absolutely enjoyed Monster.. it's one of my favorite anime of all time. I mean, the complicated plot and the suspense really keeps you "in" to the plot, and it's just.. amazing. And yes, Monster is terribly underrated... any time I ask my friends if they know it, they reply with a "Monster? That anime sucks..."
