higurashi no naku koro ni
higurashi no naku koro ni is a really freaky anime that involves killing people. It comes in chapters and they start all over again at the beginning of each chapter, yet it continues. All the chapters take place in June. The opening theme is about killing. It's a gripping series that only has 20-something episodes.

Somewhat new. I just saw the last episode yesterday. It is based off a amatuer killing japanese computer game.

i watched the first eight episodes.. it's definitely not what i expected..
really creepy anime.. i liked it..
I absolutely loved the anime. The plot was interesting, with the Curse of Oyashiro(?)-sama and what not. I also like the concept of it starting over again and again, showing a different story, so the viewer can learn different facts about the characters and situations. Because of this, it gives no direct answers, and essentially makes the viewer play detective.
Don't get me wrong, but it seems that you just liked the anime because of the killing, seeing how that was basically your summary of the anime. "Omg, it haz da killing!", or something like that. In all honest, that part was the part I didn't like. The rather senseless blood and violence, such as the main character scratching his own throat out inside of a phone booth.
Also, I didn't like how they did not include several other chapters which are included in the game, which give it a true ending with a true solution as to why the story was the way it was.

well, the storyline was compelling, too. when rena took the school hostage, i was a little shocked. when i first watched it, i was freaked out. it made me scared to even look at some things. but all in all, i really liked it. the conclusion was not what i expected, though.

Sounds a little to untthoughtout for my taste though i doubt your description is complete, maybe ill check it out sometime though.
