HEY!!anyone got a recommmendation?

i was just wondering do you guyzgirlz anyone can you plz give me a recomendation cuz my cousin and me well we r so bored cuz we have no rpg games to play we already passed kingdom hearts 2 centuries ago and that's like the only game we have played in a while because all the games wer want are coming out like in december or later so in ther mean time we want a good rpg game that will keep us entertained till then so any recomendations?oh and if you guyz/girlz wanted to know i'm into solid rpg like the final fantasy series,resident evil,xenosaga,and kingdom hearts,wanna play ookami too..but anywayz plz give me good recomendations i'm so desperate so plz help us^^

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is a pretty cheap rpg, and isn't too bad if you have the gameboy advance hookups to play multiplayer.

Tales of Symphonia is another good rpg and will give you plenty of time to kill. It is said to give you roughly 80 hours of gameplay to just complete the game, although if you are good you may finish quicker, or if you wanna complete the whole game you can get a heck of alot more time out of it.

Final Fantasy 7-9 is are very good games. Final Fantasy 7 is a bit expensive right now though since they stopped making it, so you may have better luck going with 8 & 9. FF Tactics is also very good.

Dragon Quest 8 will be the last one I mention. Right now its pretty cheap and it gives you some good rpg action.

The games I have mentioned cost roughly 20 bucks except for FF7

Solid RPGS? Sorry darling, the closest things to a "Solid" rpg on any system would be Dragon Warrior 1 and 3, Earthbound 1 and 2,Elemental Gearbolt lastly Attonement, the problem? Those games are out of print and are rather rare.

For the record, Kingdom Hearts is not an RPG game. It's just an action game that "appears" to be an RPG, like Alundra 2.

Most of the games listed are so-so at best and there is a good chance they are too old to be purchased anyway.

The Bouncer is too old to be purchased. (Unless you're willing to dish out 60 bucks for an boorish out of print game that happens to be so boring that using a corkscrew to remove your own eyball would be a better deal.)

Grandia Three, mediorcre at best. Avoid it , touch it.. Your money.

Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors, unless you are into inaccurate recreations of battles in Asian History portrayed by long long long minutes of button mashing. Good music though. You can find these in the Budget Bins or on the shelves ranging from 10 dollars to 21.70 (If you live in the states.)

I second star ocean: TSS, since that one definitely kept me playing for over 90 hours, and I usually get through RPGs fast. If you like strategy-ish stuff, final fantasy tactics (if you can find a copy) for the psx, disgaea (not that I've actually played it), and that's all I can think of right now.

I advise Knights of the old Republic. Now, I am sure people are going to come back at me that its not 'a solid RPG like Xenosaga, Grandia etc. etc.' To those I ask this: what constitutes a solid RPG then? KotoR has all the elements of a good RPG. Great story, wonderfull cast. Heck, it even has a d20 system.

Not quite a fight'emsmash'em RPG in the true sense, but, if you want to keep yourself entertained by something radically different...

Go find the Monkey Island games, made by LucasArts They chronicle the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood, wannabe pirate. I love them because timing and "twitchy gamer" skills don't factor in as much - they're puzzle games that test your wits. And they're really funny, too! You can pick them up pretty cheap usually.

well um thanks for correcting me^^" and to the rest of you thanx for your help oh and i also wanted to say i also did play tales of symphonia,star ocean:till' the end of time and some other rpg games you've mentioned i'm glad i'm in the right track but anyways thanx for the help^^

If you liked Kingdom Hearts, you might enjoy Final Fantasy X-2. It has a lot of similarities.

Alright, fine, I'll stay on topic...

FF8 is a relatively cheap game, and usually you can get 7-9 on Ebay for about 80 bucks, which isn't too bad since the new games for the systems will probably cost that much, XD. The rest are cheap and good as well, and if you like rpgs, you're sure to enjoy those.

I have several suggestions to make, but they may be pretty hard to find, unless you're willing to do some online shopping.

Lufia 2: This is a very fun RPG for the SNES, and while it does have some elements like character switching taken out, it has a new element or two within the battle system and it's pretty addictive. The storyline is also really good.

Chrono Trigger: This one is going to be incredibly hard to find. I've only found it on E-bay and a second game along with Final Fantasy 4, but if you can get your hands on it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It has been deemed the greatest RPG for SNES. If you want to get it along with Final Fantasy 4, it's for the Playstation.

Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time: Okay, I can guaruntee that someone may say not to get this, but I'm taking my chances here. I found the game really addictive with great characters and a battle system that isn't Final Fantasy based (which RPGs tend to use). The music for the game is also really good.

Yes...Bridget, the only member of anime forum with good game taste. Everyone elses taste in games are inferior unless they match up to, or are similar to the all mighty Bridget. The undisputed GOD AND MASTER OF ALL THINGS GAMING.

That said.

Already mentioned that Resident Evil isn't RPG, but regardless.
If you like Resident Evil, I would also reccomend Silent Hill. I doubt you could find one very easily, but you should be able to find a few copies of 2 floating around your local gamestop (Used). 3 and especially the room should still be relativly easy to find...Didn't much care for the room myself.

Actually, you can find them a lot cheaper than that as greatest hits. Last time I purchased final fantasy 7 I payed 8 dollars for it. That was about a year ago.

Last Time I saw it at Gamestop for $9.99. Untouched new copy of it too. I couldn't resist buying it...again. (...My 5th copy. XD)
