I watched that special on PBS about the supposed fraud of the moon landing. Some of the "evidence" they offered WAS rather compelling. But in the end, appart from being a very humorous example of how petty humans can be, the whole fiasco doesn't matter one way or the other. Personally, I think the moon landing was real.

Personally, I say we did. Not only is all the evidence the anti-landers put forth disprovable, but also there are test stations left on the moon, one of which was made to bounce laser beams back to the earth in order to measure something.

in truth i never really was interesting by this topic as it appears on many forums but i do think, however, that this topic is so freaking old. it was a big topic when we finally had the first man on the moon but now talking about it seems to have lost it's purpose. furthermore my oppinion is simple - who the hell honestly should care?

Okay, to put some kind of regularity here, some challenges and responses NOTE:MANY OF THESE CAN BE PROVEN ON EARTH:

1: The lighting on the moon is incosistent, all the shadows should be parallel.
--Not even the lighting on Earth is consistent. Shadow direction is based on direction, elevation, slope, and many other factors.

2: Objects in shadow should be completely dark.
--The bright lunar surface reflects light, which would make the objects in shadows visible.

3: Astronauts couldn't survive the radiation of the Van Allen belts.
--Even Van Allen, the man who discovered the belts, says that you'd have to say in the belts for a long period of time. The astronauts were only in the belts for 30 minutes.

4: There are no stars in any of the photos.
--The human eye and the camera film cannot take in both the bright lunar surface and the dark background. This is the reason why you cannot see stars in cities or from inside sports stadiums during games at night.

5: There appears to be a C on a rock in several photos. This C is a prop marker.
--The C is likely a printing imperfection, probably a hair that got onto the film during development.

It doesn't make sense from the standpoint that the Russians were not morons, and there were far too many people involved for it to be kept secret.
