So there you are as you scream in the sun
Letting your word rhyme fall on everyone
Off of the rooftops they silently run
And form into pools that are full of pond scum

The lonely poet is deafened by tunes
Of others that write with too readable runes
As they enunciated a taciturn croon
With no knowledge to forge a new moon

What do you think will come when you fall
After you have grown so I high and so tall
Of black and red mumblings, the floors of a mall
And the many emotions that you can keep in a stall

Unjudged you are judging from on top of a pew
The pens and the pencils you cry and you spew
And used by false poets to make you into
A few lines that are asking to be read by a few

But do you see there now that cresting riding ship
Which your numbing hands could grip
If you would stop giving the world your lip
Give it your mind which you have stripped

Talk with heart that beats in the time
Of that once long forgotten now dusty rhyme
And sprinkle your prose with rosemary and thyme
So that you can think and feel as sublime

I am failing now I know
You have already gone where I will go
So go where I was and don’t follow
The lingering corpse of my fallen shadow

In the library one day we will meet
And the blisters on are feet
Will tell are journeys, take a seat
And tell me all the places you can repeat
