i loved it. i really liked it. i love final fantasy 7 the game and the movie and the anime. i was really happy when the movie came out.

well the girl you saw at the end was named aerith. she was killed by sepiroth(the guy cloud was fighting with the long white hair) he killed her in the ending of the 1st disk.(theres three disks)the guy on the wheel chair was rufus shinra the son of the 1st presidant who was also killed by sepihroth. then theres reno and rude. they were from the turks who helped rufus to destory a group called avalange were cloud helped. the leader was barret(the guy with the handgun). (i know it may sound confuseing but if i told you the story from the begining it would take up alot of space...seriuosly.) his daughter was marlene. tifa was a childhood friend of cloud. yuffie was a materia hunter(theif) vincent valetine was a mystery man who new the real mother of sepiroth, and the real father.(he was in love with sepihroth mother her name was lucrecia, and the father was dr. hojo, which was a mad scienctist who ruined vincent) red 13 was the red dog. he was captured by dr. hojo to be an experiment. cait sith was the cat. he was controlled by a man called reeve which helped shinra to spy on cloud. but cait didnt want to cause harm neither did reeve. cid was the other guy with blond hair. he wanted to be the 1st man to be in space but his dream was ruined by his assitant shera. hmmm ... am i missing anything else...i dont know if i am.

It was pretty good. Kind of overated, though. Of course, this is coming from someone who never played FFVII. I understood most of the story and all I just felt some of the sequences in the film were a bit overhyped (namly the fight sceens).

I really loved the graphics of the movie it was fantastic! And Mononoka, the girl in the end that Cloud saw was Aerith.

Personally, I found the movie to be horribly, horribly overrated. The only real thing I found entertaining about this movie was its excellent CG animation, which after a while you usually forget about.

The plot was extremely dull and unoriginal. The only character that had a real focus (Cloud) was in a state of pseudo-angst. None of the other characters in the story had anything resembling development. Every single other member of the FFVII crew had what could only be called a cameo.

In the end, evil was vanquished, none of the characters had an arc, and I was bored to tears.

As a marketing gimmick for a game which is almost 10 years old, it is a success. As a movie that seeks to tell a story, it is a momentous failure.

i loved it. best movie i've ever seen ^^
i also love the way they made it. they didnt care if it looked realistic or not with they're jumping and whatever. aslong as it looked cool, which it did ^^
i kinda wish the other characters talked a bit more. but o well ^^;
the little touches made it extra good. like when the phone falls in the water you hear all the messages, one from the guy who controls cait sith aswell.

reno and rude eaisly lived up to what they were like in the game aswell. all the characters did, but these 2 more so ^^

This movie is not about plot or characters. It's about the beautiful animation and the brilliantly choreographed fights. That's what made this movie worth watching, and even moreso, worth watching multiple times.

While you make a good point about plots in action movies in general. I personally did not find the actual action scenes that exciting. Except for the well animated scene in which Kadaj changed into Sephiroth, although that was more for the idea of returning to the classic rivalry. I still stand by my belief that the movie is grossly overrated.

Do you remember the dragon on the square? I'm a 3D modeler and I can fully understand people who created it. This is UNBELIEVABLE work. It's probably the greatest model in the movie.

I really liked the CG animation but they could have done better wiht the english dubbing. Some times I noticed they word didn't match the mouth flaps. But other that that I really liked the movie and I don't think they game ios bad. I bought it and the graphics are awesome. And it is really good for a FPS.
