Will ps3 become a success?

Reading review's on ps3 I have heard rumor's say the price of the ps3 is way above it's worth. So I'm wondering If sony will pull off the new ps3 system for it's over raised price?

hmmm the last thing i saw of playstation was that portable 1 and i personally(no affense) thought it was alil bit of a scam and rip off cause u didn't get to use the discs from or ps or ps2 and u had to buy chips i think or other software to get the games onto your portable 1

So I think everyone can agree with me that this belongs in the video game section. Plus the price although pricey, they do have to make a profit from it.

Actually about the price...

The price is WAY below it's worth when you take into account the bluray reader. Just like the PS2, Sony is going to be in the red for a while because they're going to be spending more money on making the product than making money selling the product.

And about the PSP (Or as you put it, "Portable 1")... It has it's own games on it's own discs. You don't need to buy a huge chip to play games, you'll only need a small one to save game data. Of course when the PSP does release its PSone emulator, you'll be allowed to purchase PSone games to upload and play on your PSP. THAT would be the time to get a bigger chip.
