Cat person, eh?

West highland terrier is my choice. Actually have one, but unfortunately he's a bit stupid as he's an inbreed dog. He once jumped off a step, then when trying to get back up, whacked straight into the step. Also will paw at a closed door when there is an open one only down the other end of the room.

Why do you figure? Dead dogs are much less of a bother. You don't have to walk them in the middle of the winter, you won't wake up with it licking your face (if you do, you should consult your local excorsist), it doesen't track mud all over your living room floor, it won't attack your neighbors' kids, and every couple of months when it's just a puddle of putrid flesh, you throw it out and get a recently deceased dog!

If it's really fresh, you can use it as a footstool while the rigor mortis is still in place!

The classical way to get around the foul odour of decaying dog is to keep it in a vat of formaldehyde, this way it will last indefinetly, and you get to combine having an aquarium and having a dog!

If you thought a live dog is good at scaring away the children, wait until you introduce them to your dead dog.

You can always scavenge the dumpster behind your local vet clinic. There's all sorts of dead animals. Parrots. Cats. Dogs. Horses. Ferrets. Rhinoceros. Dodos. Miniature giant space hamsters. You name it.
