Well, you should definately take it to a verteranarian. There's a good chance that they can cure whatever is wrong with it.

Putting it down should only be a last resort if there is no way to cure it, or if vets have tested and retested, and tripple tested it and still cannot figure out what's wrong.

So, taking it to the vet is probably the best thing to do. There may be a chance for her survive.

Ducks are normally very healthy animals. Seldom do they ever get sick. I have raised 200 to 300 ducks at a time before. How old is the duck and what breed?

If it is getting better why would you want to put it down?

thanx to all of u but i new wat was rong with it and the cure cost too much anyway the story is that she took a turn for the worst that i had to put her down....... so i guess someone can close this thread now.....

ps ducks do get sick alot my duck was only a month and i found out that the sickness it had was common......

If you're duck is sick, you should just probably be more aware of what it's consuming and maybe take it to the vet if the condition gets worse. BUt if it can't be cured and no medication is gonna help, then "put it to sleep"...

Take her to the vet, you idiot. If you don't know what to do, take it to the vet. The vet can take care of more than just cats and dogs. They can take care of wild animals too.

I would take it to see a vet. You wouldn't wan't to kill it if it has nothing wrong with it. It could be just a temporary flue or something..
