Illusionary

So many restless thoughts in my head.
Torn asunder by the nightmares under my bed.
Mocked by my own shadow, I'm doomed to say.
All I can hope is that I'll fade away.

There's nothing left for the nothingness.
But what did you expect from anything less?
Tears are my rain.
My sorrows my pain.

I've lived, loved and died.
There's nothing more to be cried.
A song is bitter-sweet.
As I hope that we shall never meet.

My illusionary "prince" who escapes me so.
You never come, yet you never go.
How can you love something that isn't even there?
While wanting it so badly...Even more than air?

I may never find you and I hope that is true.
Because if I see you I won't know what to do.
So just stop and merely let me be.
Unchain these broken bones and set me free.

I hate this nightmare.
It's more than I can bear.
I need this dream.
Even though is more that it may seem.

So torturous which tears me through and through.
In love with an illusion that is you.
