In my home town
People have joy
Everyone’s building
A brand new Troy

Everyone’s happy
Nobody’s sad
Everyone’s crazy
Nobody’s mad

They think their Jesus
They think their God
Nobody’s wrong
Do you think that’s odd?

Come home children
And play with your guns
Sprinkle your children
On everyone

Working class soldiers
Fight the good fight
Everyone goes left
While turning right

Mothers and DJ’s
Dance in the street
Bonnets and green cars
All keep the beat

Sunlight is made of
Everyone’s love
And moonlight is made
Of ground up turtle dove

Come home children
And dance with you mums
Sing in the moonlight
And sleep in the sun

Spotlights are gray
And stop signs are clear
Everyone’s laughing
With voices of fear

The streets turning corkscrews
And open up wine
And bees are all drunk
In ten minutes time

Poets and Dreamers
Sleep on the walk
Heroes and Legends
All talk the talk

My home is burning
Everyone’s gay
My home is freezing
Hip, Hip Hooray

Children are walking
All are alone
The highways are empty
And covered with bones

Lonely they stare
To the rim of space
Slowly they laugh
And make a new race

Running in circles
With drinks in there hands
Alcohol waste bands
And ecstasy sand

Come home children
And make us world
A conoction of tea
And ashes all swirled

My home is dying
Ain’t it so grand
Poetic license
Play the bandstand
