I’m afraid to close my eyes.
I hear her,
My best friend,
Telling me to come back to them,
The doctors say to leave now,
I hear a ripping noise.
And a doctor, counting
1 2 3,
A beating noise. A heart?
I have a heart? After what I’v done?
How did I get here?
He gets up, and walks through her.
A ghost?
Or the one I fear most of all,
The grim reaper?
Now I just hear whispers.
But I know they are yelling.
I’m going deeper.
But I’m not afraid. I have done this before.
But that time I was not dying.
Am I close to death?
