    Default Is It Anime?

    Say you’re looking through mangas in the store and you pick up one you haven’t seen before. It looks pretty interesting and the art is cool, but wait, the artist has an English name! Do you consider it “real” anime?

    For example, the manga series “Dramacon.”




    Looks pretty darn anime, but it is drawn by Svetlana Chmakova; not even an American artist, but Russian!

    Anime is an art style. If their series doesn't suck, doesn't exist under another art style, and is worth it, let 'em use it.

    of course its not anime. its manga. it wouldn't be consider anime until it becomes an animated series. then it would be an anime.
