hey all u people...i wouldnt say were my direct location is on line but...thee was sum guy from germany who said he had to go to sleep cuz it was past midnite bt on my world clock it was only actually like 6 in the evening in germany....it was also a bad attempt of trying to fake a different country cuz he was usning english slang fluently and comfortabley...what do u guys think of all this?

I don't lie about my location, no real reason to... Specially since I come froma board where location was near-mandatory because the game setup wouldn't work too well if people were too far apart.

What I do lie about tho... is my occupation. I'm not really the village idiot, tho its always been a dream of mine.

lol i only put the "i dont know" thing on my location 'cuz people who i've told were saying things like, "OMG you live there! Thats soooo cool, do you hula (yes, any gender can) hula or surf?" (<--hint) So sometimes i get irked by that alone.

um, I think I don't care. If someone lies about where they're from, then they lied about where they're from. I don't care if you say you're from germany but live in texas, it makes no difference to me.

seriously, I don't have a problem with people not saying where they really are... what bothers me is men pretending to be women and vice vera... inside of an RPG I can see it, heck I've played many a female "would" elf <pun intended>. But I made sure other gamers knew I was really a guy to keep the off game advances to a minimum (funny thing, I still got a few... lol)

Yeah that's what i mean. I just say i'm from VA. I would never give some one my street address. That would be a very dangerous thing to do. I only give out what state i'm from ^_^;

I tell you about 80²miles of where I am. If you ever find exactly where I live, congrats to you.

They tell you not to give out location and stuff cause of stalkers on the internet, but I'm not too worried.

I'm a guy, so I don't need to worry too much about people stalking me, and I think I can beat up any of the gay ones that would try anyway.

edit - I usually lie and tell people I'm from Detroit or something. I dunno I kinda get a kick out of lying to strangers at times.....

I think it really matters also on who people trust on the internet and who they don't. Some people I will say in what state I live in others just the conuntry, for the people I just don't get along with well I'll say what planet.
