Never Wake

Just let me...Never wake...
Because once these eyes open I shall break.
Don't let me see the pain.
Don't have me drown in this horrid rain.

You left me feeling so utterly out of this skin.
Does it make you happy that I don't want living to win?
Don't ask me...To arise...
Because all I will see is this reality's intricate lies.

Let me sleep in this place so safe from the cruel outside.
I don't want to be washed away by life's jaded tide.
When I see the things you do,
I know I never want to wake to believe it's true.

In denial, yet knowing all.
All I can do is let myself fall.
The kindest thing that you can do is to leave me be...
Never wake this soul...So Ignorant and free.
