Good Pshychological Animes

I love pshychlogical anime, ones that have complex hidden themes and underlying meanings. My favorite example of this is Neon Genesis Evangelion. I loved thee whole way it made me think about my life, and how it dealt with extenstentialism, all that stuff. But I haven't been able to find another one anything like it. So can anyone tell me any good pshychological (Sorry if I killed the word) anime?

Lain and Perfect Blue. In my opinion, those two are the top of the psychological anime chart.

Perfect blue/paranoia agent/Neon Genesis Evangelion/RahXephon/flcl(very underlying message)/and Angelic layer(it deals with the virtues of friendship and trust) those should all fit in that category really well. XD

I definetly recommend Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. The unique storyline came from an original novel the was created by a French man. It's a very well-know novel and the anime is absolutely superb. The animation is wonderful and there's none other like it. I believe this anime fits into what you're talking about... =]

Death Note deals with a whole god complex this one guy develops. Although after about halfway through and after something happens it started to get boring. But the first half is worth the read! More here

I've heard Monster and 20th Century Boys are good psychological mangas.

OK, Paranoia agent is ok, but I absolutely hate FLCL. I really want an anime that is all the things I said in my first post, without being extremely random and stupid. Perfect blue, RahXephon, and Angelic Layer sound good though, I'll look into those, and some other ones people suggested. Thanks.
