Greenday is an insult to crappy music, it makes garbage look good, I would rather listen to a cat being killed inside a trashcan with a chainsaw cause even that is more pleasureable than greenday. Greenday is "music", if you can even call it that, for people who have no idea what good music is. All greenday is is a bunch of posers who can't play their instruments but play some simple chords with a simple drum beat with a simple bass line and say "WE HAVE A REVOLUTIONARY SONG!!!!". No, you don't. Greenday is crappy garage band music that made it big by being overplayed to no end. The think they're out there to "prove" something, to stick it to the government! I don't know, I think they're loving the government and wallstreet for all the MONEY they're gettin. If they were true about being against the government they would've done like Curt Cobaine and be a millionaire but live in your station wagon. Or randy rhoads, the only thing he really used his money for was a fancy guitar. He still drove a station wagon even after he made it big with Ozzy. These guys are nothing but a bunch of talentless hypocrits. You want real music? listen to Zeppelin, thats music. Greenday is junk thats not even worthy to be called junk. And the lyrics you posted...I could write better lyrics. Hell, I bet even some of the emo users here (guinevere, sumae, sgt Souske Sagara, Amix, etc...) could write better lyrics, thats a stretch, but it could be done. do you have an idea on how much I despise greenday now? it should be pretty clear.

One thing it sucks and secondly it just doesn't sound right. when i compose music i get a feel for the song and this song does not have that it is lacking in something i think its called talent why dont you write music about flowers and deers it seems much more suited to your personality.

Green Day is the best rock band ever. They have their own sense of style and their own sense of how they believe this country (America) is.

The lyrics (by Billie Joe Armstrong) isn't just the type that you just make up. He writes from his point of view. Billie Joe didn't grow up all rich and fancy, he had a pretty damn hard life.

These guys have been around for a while. They're in their freakin' 30's now!! And that's pretty damn awesome, I believe.

Of course most of you wouldn't agree with me of how I think about my favorite band. I'm just setting my opinion straight ^_^
