I think bad rep should be removed

People rep for stupid reasons... I got a bad rep saying haha, you suck.. Wheres the reason? There isn't one this person abused the system and it is often abused by people just like that.. I am just giving my opinion..

I agree. Rep points aren't needed and aren't important. Well, I played with my account, I stole "money" from myself and look what happend :/ I have many red boxes. People sometimes have red boxes because they stole some "money" from others. Sometimes people give bad rep without special reasons, without comments, well... because they don't like you. Rep points don't say how nice or good you are only how popular you are. Sometimes people get good points because they are mods or they are popular on the forums. Hmm... I don't wanna say bad, but I don't like rep system so much. It should be removed or something. IMO.

Well, when you see lesser Red Boxes, you realise that person is a bad poster. Normally, it should be many Red Boxes that show how bad you are; butt it's the thief thing that confuses things. I've tryied to debate about it but, apparently, everything is well made up, even though exaggerated.

How's about making a "Thief's redemption" program that can only be used once per user... and once every X time period / + requirements ?

i think they should remove it to it's hurts feelings and may offend others.i have never given bad rep and all of you shouldn't.it's cruel and a big letdown for people who were trying to build up rep and r trying to help but noo you just didn't like something they said and there more bad rep i just dono't think it's right.
so i also think they should remove it if you don't like something just DON'T give them rep and ignore it ok^^anyways it's just rep it doesn't really matter so consider it pwease^^

For other cases.
If you get a bad rep, or two, check what you posted again(you might have sayed somethin wrong AFTER all). If it's still reasonless, PM a mod, or an admin, or start a whiny thread like this and complain to get the mods to hear you.
Personally, i bad repped some really frightening, stronger posters for offences. I was too affraid to leave my name because i didn't want a bad rep from them(with a reputation over 50,000).

I seldom give out bad rep, but when I do it has a good reason.

When you get bad rep without reason, you should indeed do, what Dr. Mc Doom just said.
When you got it with reason...well yeah, then it's your own fault.

I think rep points are important. Those people are just jealous and want to get give you bad rep for that reason. Here's a good rep to make it up!^^
By doing that it most likely hurts person. They learn to respect others opinions.
When one get's a bad rep point, it's probably because of their own behaviour.

Personally, i bad repped some really frightening, stronger posters for offences. I was too affraid to leave my name because i didn't want a bad rep from them(with a reputation over 50,000).

this totally caught my attentain....there is no person WITH over 50,000 rep points...the highest ppl that got it is Tsuna and she is ALMOST to 20,000 only...we all came a long way to get the reps points that we have now....and Ace got like 1000zillion points or something is cause he is a admin but he doesn't rep people for no reason...v_v...and Last time the mods have almost no repps at ALL cause they were just doing their duty and it backfires them....and last time when we normal members got like reputation beyond reputation we were dancing...cause we have to wait for ages(I think bout 3 or 4 months!)....cause everybodys rep points were small last time...and it takes sometime....to gain reps and now?hey I got rep beyong rep!!big deal!!>_>all the other 200 over member has it....and as for Riku(Aka Gate 21 or something)

EDIT: Ohh yea....and you can tell a person is bad or good just by looking at the rep points...the big red points mean...somebody has been stealing...there no one in history that ever has bad reps that much by all the members before...v_v....as the good reps....that means they are friendly or that speak the truth or something like that....I won't worry too much bout the rep thingy if I were you...>_>

For one, the reputation system shouldn't be taken so seriously! =\ The amount of rep you have does not define how you post or your worth as a member. If you agree with someone on a topic or like the way someone responds to things, you good rep them. If you disagree, or don't agree with their behaviour, you bad rep them. It really isn't any deeper then that.

Secondly, there is no right or wrong reason to bad rep someone. Someone calls you stupid or insults you in a rep comment, deal with it and ignore it. It's a small red box, it's not the end of your life or AF account. You can't always expect everyone to agree with you. And if you want everyone to agree with you, then don't voice your opinions. And even then, you'll probably still get bad repped, because everyone does sooner or later.

If you want to go a step furthur, you can always PM the person you're bothered with and confront them there. But usually when you bad rep someone, it's just a simple disagreement and nothing to get blown out of proportion for.

Chill out, enjoy your time here. So what if someone doesn't like you, don't let get under your skin. Be tougher then that, show them who's boss. <3

Could you be any more pathetic? The only bad thing about the rep system is that people aren't required or automatically leave their name. Whether it be good or bad, I like to know who left me the rep. So I always leave my name. As some of you, may have noticed.
