I don't aprove of the Lex Luther they casted. And if Lex Luther sucks, the movie will suck.
Also...it's been what, 20 years since the last superman movie? UPDATE THE SOUNDTRACK.

I'm rather excited about it. It seems like this is more the type of comic book movie Bryan Singer was meant for. From what the trailers show, this looks like it will be more like the "real world" feel that Batman Begins had, and I liked that style a lot.
As for the soundrack, when the original theme became such an important symbol for Superman movies, why would you replace it? It was so well done, and it's absolutely recognizable for what it is. That's absolutely nothing to complain about.

The OLD superman themesong (which was the true original) was well done, it is also recognizable for what it is (I speak of the one from the old superman cartoons and TV show from the 40's and 50's). Yet they changed that around the 70's and 80's when they made newer superman movies...Why? Because things get outdated, and things change.

Sorry, guys, i don't wanna wait 54 minutes to see the Trailer. Judging by the photos, it has a LotR look and will probably recieve an Oscar or something.
I don't approve of Superman's return because... well, it isn't realistic enough:
They can't combine the old 50's with the our age without turning it into "Fantasy".
Just look at the costume. It's still the same! Nobody will want to wear that in our days. And c'mon, everybody could recognise him without a mask. The soundtrack is the same, not new age. And, well, the Superhero ages have passed.

When I first saw the trailer, I thought it looked a little stupid, espeically seeiing Lex Luthor.
Then I found out it was directed by Bryan Singer and figured it won't be so bad. If my family goes, I'll tag along.

my dads a comic buff so he he wants to see it ill go (just because i get in for free) but other that that ill wait for it to come to Fox or something.

Uhm, they made more Batman movies. And he's still popular. No different. And besides, each movie is based on different situations.

Also, I approve of Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. He plays the character well, you don't understand that Kevin isn't exactly ordinary himself, so to portray it in another character makes it that much better.

I never took his ability to act the part into account. I know he can act. To me he just doesn't look like a Lex Luther.

Like most things. You need to get used to it. It's like getting into the pool, the water is cold, but eventually will become less noticable.

Yu Yu Master actually has a point. It is really not a very good concept to have an invoulnerable (or near invoulnerable) protagonist. This was especially obvious in the first seasons of Smallville. It became blatantly repetitive since there really wasn't much else but the K that could stop him, so he HAD to run in to some GK episode after episode to atleast add some element of struggle.

But it's a matter of how good the author is I guess, with a good author it's definetly workable.

Just about every one of them, Superman loses. He clearly can't be that great.

What do you mean they don't have weaknesses? Batman is a normal human, any sharp object, long drop, projectile, or poision is a weakness. Superman only has ONE true weakness.

What ARE you talking, Darkside has beaten the crap out of him plenty of time, almost killing superman. Without kryptonite.
Also, the hulk did a nice amount of damage against him as well back during the marvel vs DC comic series.

Nah. I dislike Superman. Too powerful. No real weaknesses other then Planet-Rending violence, and Kryptonite. At least throw something stupid in there, like 'Can't use powers against the color Yellow."

Also, I'm boycotting because Brian Singer left X-Men, giving it to Brett Ratner, forever ruining everything I've ever loved. Food turns to dust in my mouth because I watched the unholyness that was X-Men: The Last Stand. It might be unfair to blame Singer for the crimes of Ratner, but I'm past caring anymore. I just want revenge, and the 104 excruciating minutes of my life back. Also, a pony.
