Anyways... On:

Dating people you meet on the internet - I don't think it's all too bad of a thing. My aunt met my uncle online. They seem to be quite happy together. I just think you should be cautious when choosing to meet anyone from over the internet; you really never know who's on the other side.

Dating online - It might work for some people, and might not for others. I dated this one guy online, and it was rather depressing. Knowing that he lived across the country, and the fact I wouldn't be able to see him for years, was kind of a killer to our relationship. We liked each other, but we both needed someone a little closer to home.

Um, I have nothing against it. But I wouldn't personally do it myself. What I find silly, are people who are like 5 states away and say they are dating. I mean, that's fine.. But at least make some sort of mean to actually VISIT that person, make plans, etc..

If you're dating in your area, that's cool. Again not for me, but hey, if that's your way of meeting people, have fun! Some people should do it, too shy in person.

edit: Ok fine(for who ever bad repped me), yes it can be dangerous but hopefully if you are going to be online dateing then you know the risks. You can never trust anyone online 100 percent. You just can't.

I don't like internet relationships. You can't know who that second person really is. People may lie in net. They can lie about own personality, look, friends, parents... People lie in reality too but in net lying is easy. If I say about myself that I'm a cute blond haired beautiful girl you will "buy' it because you have never seen picture of me. Also, if people live far away from each other, meeting is almost impossible. Everybody needs to be with someone every day. Ok, you can move to different city (where your love is) but think, how to live? where to live? How to get money?
About myself... I can't fall in love with someone from internet. I must meet him in real life and then fall with him or not. Online love isn't possible for me.

I think it's ok as long as you're mature about it. You should probably plan on meeting sometime, too. Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. But, I guess you don't really know what you're getting yourself into until you give it a shot. So.. I think I'm contradicting myself. O_o

Wow..Enternet...Never knew. Sorry, had to get that out there. Anywho..>>;; I think that for some people, the shy ones, it might be better to date, or find someone, online. Personaly, I think online dating is kinda fun. I myself met my perfect match here on this forum, in the chat room of course. For some people though, those that are kind of forward, feel that online dating might be a waste of a good day. Speaking with actual knowlage of both ways, I think it is a lot better to online date. Why? I think this, because the men in my area, RI, are mostly bags of dirt. So, from previous encounters, online guys that i have met, have turned out to be real nice gentlemen.

Dating people online is okay with me, as long as you know what you're getting yourself into.
It may or may not work for everyone but it's a good way to bring out your true personality, because of the confidence/safety you feel behind the screen.
ASIDE from the pedophiles, stalkers, "bad" people... etcetera..
If you feel that you're mature enough then go ahead! Feel free to do so, because no one's going to stop you.
