I'm not a believer in the Christian God but you're ... well, stupid. God cannot intervene on behalf of every sap that prays for so and so to live. If he did no one would die. He observes, in "history" when he did intervene usually he had a pretty good reason for it.

Other than that, he/she/it/something lets things play out as it will.
