Who cares? Really...I mean people like what they like, I wont argure about something I like cause what I like for me is bottom line. I don't listen to rap because it offers me nothing of interest, I love metal and all sorts of other music though.

I do recall a thread like this, but I choose Rap. I have been listening to Rap for more than 10 years, but I have only recently become a big Rock fan. I like both genre, and I even like Rock more than Rap, somedays.

I figured country into Rock because they actually play their own Instrament. Where rap "artists" don't and neither do pop "singers". And on the topic of trance/club like music, I would have to say it would fall into the rap category. And Punk would fall into the Rock category

There's no "War". I like Rock, and If I had to choose sides against rap, I wouldn't. There's nothing wrong with liking rap. To me, rap is boring. But you can't expect a guitar player to like rap...Besides, rap fans probably think all rock is boring as well. It's a hard concept for me to grasp but they're probably thinking the same thing. They're thinking Im crazy for thinking this way. It's how things work, there's no "War". A music war is just flat out dumb. Besides, even I have one or two rap songs I like.

eh I was raised on rock, so thats what I've known the longest, and I do like it, more specificly alternative rock. BUT when me and my friends go out we put on the rap, I use to hate it though, but what can I say, I love to dance and hip-hop is way more suited for that.
