I need help finding this anime...

I remember watching this anime (I believe a movie) on the Sci Fi Channel a long while ago. I was a science fiction/alien creature type one and I want help finding it. Here are some facts:
1)The main character was a woman with darker kind of brunette haired fighter
2)She had a Artificial Intelligence helper that looked like two tops stuck together kind of hourglassish
3)There was a creature that was very organic and alien-like that would change people into things like it and chaos insued
4)Someone she cared about (a white haired "young" man) was enveloped by the creature and it controlled him, so she had trouble fighting it because she didn't want to kill him, she called him "brother" I think but I think he wasn't her brother and she actually loved him
5)There comes a point when he isn't completely enveloped by the creature and he asks her to kill him, but when she does the creature doesn't die as well and continues fighting.
6)She has the final battle in a desert that burns people up when the sun rises on it.
7)Her AI helper warps she and the creature there, making the creature think that it's on another planet, but they are just in the desert.
I can't think of anything else. Please if someone can help me even narrow it down that would be great. Again it was shown on Sci Fi channel a long while ago back when they had anime evenings.

I read on Sci Fi's Wikipedia page that most of Sci Fi Channels anime was from Streamline's catalog, so statistcally, it should be here...

I'm kinda leaning towards Silent Morbius being it, but I haven't seen but... one episode or so.

I want to say it was a movie. I thought it might be silent morbius at first too but they pics I've seen just don't seem to match. It might have just been an Anime movie that was on Sci-Fi at that time. I remember Wicked City being advertised as going to be shown around the same time. Thanks for trying to help. If anyone else can think of what it might be please help.

I doubt it is Silent Morbius.It is slightly different.Do you have pictures of the show or characters or anything more related?

No, unfortunately I don't have any pics or character pics. I probably watched it 10 years ago or more. It's been quite a while. Thanks again.

There's one part when she's sad, I think she just had to kill the guy who was inside the creature and she's showering, all depressed. I wish I had a picture too. She has short hair.
