Haha, I thought this would be a good one to start after seeing the kinda posts some people come out with *awaits the "what's punctuation?" question...

So, what's favourite punctuation mark/symbol?

I'm talking ,, ., !, ?, [], (), :, ;, -, ..., "

They're the main ones...
If you have any others please share it - oh and I want reasons behind your answers - no tread of mine is being spammed!


Mine? Well I guess it has to be the ol' semi-colon; many don't know how to use it - and it's so cool-looking *o_O;* <<<Look! Another use for the Godlike semi-colon! ";"

the comma, since any text lacking it looks like it's written by a baboon. Or the fancy semicolon, which when used correctly makes the text look worked-through and serious.

I love all punctuation marks. But only when they're used correctly.

As a general rule of thumb, anymore than three exclimation marks in a rule is a no-no.

The question mark because it always leads to something else. Question mark lead us onto your enigmatic path. However I also like the exclamation mark just because it usually is in the most fun places.

My fav punctuation mark would have to be an ! point. It's just so awsome! It shows happiness, anger, shockness(<<<not a word I know), and other things. IT'S JUST SO AWSOME!!!<<<SEE!!

Periods and commas. Periods allow us to differentiate sentences. Commas allows us to improve them for legibility and clearification.

You can't live without commas, or else all your sentences are going to sound silly. Then again as pointed out above, most members aroudn here don't see that. Besides that I like to use ! ~ # or ^. Not all of them punctuation necessarily, but useful around here nonetheless.

Oo i love "..." ellipsis xD and "-" hyphens, they make you seem educated, whereas ellipsis create a desired effect. I can't explain but it shows an emotion*shrugs*

Oo.. semi colons, hmm i used to like them but i decided to move on, though they're great for detailed lists^^*pats English teacher on head*
