Samurai Champloo all the way!!
lol yes samurai champloo is better than kenshin but I think peacemaker is much better and gritty too!
There are three kinds of people in the world
1. Those that make things happen.
2. Those that watch things happen.
3. Those that wonder what just happened.
I am definetly the third kind
samurai champloo... better fight senes.
I like them both but i have to go with RK
Well thats a hard question to say. They both are good animes. I dont know but im saying ruroni kenshin would be a little better than samurai champloo.

Samurai Champloo, definitely. Like Tsuna Kadiri said, Rurouni Kenshin is more traditional, but Samurai Champloo just rocks. Rurouni Kenshin looks better, but Samurai Champloo's story line is much more interesting
i'd have to say champloo. but i love RK, too.

Uhhh... I just want to say... RK isnt a samurai anime...
Rurouni Kenshin is about a Rurouni... And dont be fooled by the movie title, "Samurai X" thats just a terrible translation done by stupid translators...
And Samurai Champloo... this has barely anything to do with samurais... LOL! Mugen and Jin aren't even samurai's... I think the only reason its called Samurai Champloo was because they were in search for a Samurai....
And I choose... none.
I can't choose... I like both....
Well anyway, the better of those 2 is definitally Samurai Champloo
I really don't like RK because it's kinda like Champloo crossed with DBZ. Too many "special techniuqes"(i cant spell techniuqes) and crap just makes it feel like some stupid superhero show.
You DO know all of those techniques are based off of real life techniques and sword styles right? Lol...
And yeah... now that he's said that... I vote for RK now... ^^ Just to go against him...
what, so there ARE people who can cut down trees and crap simply by drawing their sword 50 yards away from it?Originally Posted by MistaCloudStrife

Hiten Mitsurugi is based off the Furunai-ryu or Gensai-ryu. It was a very fast sword style used by Kawakami Gensai(whom kenshin is based on) you can read about that one page after the first chapter in volume one of Kenshin.
edit:forgot to mention.
Reverse blade swords are rare...not because hey are hard to make, but because they are crap. The weilder would most likly cut themselves rather than the enemy. Not only that, but the Mune of the blade needs to be sturdy...if it's as thin as a blade, striking hard enough will snap the blade right in two.

Yay! I got backup people out of nowhere! ^^
Reps for Redfield!
And most of the other peoples techniques are based off of real life too... And the stories as well... They combines several japanese war stories and such from several famous swordmen from Japan and created this one anime out of it... Rurouni Kenshin...
Yup, i wonder how many people know that there was a real Shinsengumi...Now that a mention it...how many people out there know there was a Bakamatu revolution(tokugawa shogunate) that lasted for several decades.
Geez...I say Hattori Hanzo...someone links it to Kill Bill, rather than the leader of the Iga ninja *Smacks head* why do i bother *sigh* I've had to explain what the Tokugawa shogunate was to so many people...And that lasted from 1603 to..i believe 1867 or 68. I don't even try to explain "Meji" to them...mostly because i find the Meji Era boring, Sword Bans, the end of the samurai...God i hate the Meji era, the only good thing about it is Kenshin >_<
Really, thank god for anime and video games, or people would be TOTALY CLUELESS about these things.
Really, Because of kenshin i have
-Read up on Japanese History
-This lead me to study and respect Samurai
-This lead me to Study swordsmanship
-This lead me to take better care of my body
-This lead me to feel better about myself.
See, anime CAN inspire people.
yea, and like I said, how is cutting a tree down from 50 yards "based off of" anything?Originally Posted by MistaCloudStrife
Did kinda know about the sword styles, but I also hate how it's supposed to hit in a fraction of a second but they have about 2 minutes to explain what going on and a little about the history of the attack between when it's started and finished. That bug's me in all shows......
That and the whole "I don't wanna kill people" thing just bugs the heck outa me no matter what show it's on.
