Quarterfinals are finished with an Anaheim shutout of the Calgary Flames, and so far my predictions are 6 out of 8. Updated "predictions" for the semifinals teams. I'm gonna try to guess the games as well.

Habs are out - Carolina beat them 4-2 in the series.
but Carolina was saved by their goalie Ward, without him... Habs would have took them four straight. The habs played a better game, I watched all of them from start to finish and the Habs were all over Carolina. So they were saved by the goalie and will go out this round.
Ottawa has a chance for the cup, but I think you're putting too much on Colorado winning there.
People need to keep their eyes on Edmonton. They took Detroit out... and Detroit had a good team.
Colorado has a semi-decent team we'll see what happens.
Habs are my fav team, and I'm just routing for a Canadian team to win it.
Oh and On the Canucks, no there isn't another Canadian team that hasn't won the cup, but Toronto hasn't won it in near fourty years. xD

I think you guys are putting a bit too much emphasis on the names of some of these teams. It sort of makes me think of Shakespeare and the whole "What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other word would smell as sweet."
Point taken but on the other hand if a rose were called the Poisonous unhappy flower of Death I doubt many people would really want to go up and smell it. The Might Ducks might be a .. relatively good team (I can't bring myself to say anything more than good) the fact that their name is the ... mighty ... ducks ... doesn't really reflect upon that too well. Now I know that "Senators" doesn't really reflect well on Ottawa unless you have a team of Stephen Harpers and Paul Martins skating around in business suits yelling at eachother, but ..... Mighty Ducks?

What a bizarre game tonight. Ottawa, Buffalo.
I mean come on. It's just damn wierd with how things are going. One team scores, the other scores, one scores, the other scores. It's like they're playing who can score.
Though buffalo is seemingly all over them... (I'm watching CSI so I don't see half the stuff happening in the Hockey Game) Ottawa is doing well but I think they're not doing as well as they could.

Yea, Hartford used to have a team called the Whalers.
Quebec used to have a team called the Norduiques, but they couldn't manage it and it was bought by investors in Denver, they are now the Colorado Avalanche.
Minnesota used to have a team named the North Stars, but they moved to Dalas and are the Dalas Stars, then they invested in their new team, the Wild.

Wow, so far it appears I was WAY off with the semi-final predictions, only 1 of them looks likely (San Jose).
As I type this Ottawa is fighting to stay alive, down 3-0 in the series against Buffalo, and Colorado is in the same boat playing in just a couple hours. Pen's aren't in the post-season, so I've been crossing my fingers for the Av's but that doesn't seem to be helping against Anaheim.
