Should Bad Rap be banned from the U.S?

Anyways, no. People should have the right to make the kind of music they want, despite whether or not someone will like it or be offended. Not everyone loves every band/artist or every genre of music. There's a wide variety of music genres and sub-genres out there, basically something for everyone. Cutting off one section just because a certain group of people don't like it isn't reasonable.

Ok, you have no idea what your talking about. There has never been a style, genre, or group that hasnt had a single fan. Its never happened. If you can name a group that sucked so bad, NO ONE liked them, then Ill give you 10,000,000 rupees.
Anyway, lets just say, hypothetically, no one listens to a rap artist. Why would you want to burden another country? Besides, its not like the President is going to send him and all his music to Korea or something. If the artist has no sales in America, then Im sure he'll go off to another country on his own...

To be that bad getting the title of Banned more people will want to listen to it, that have not heard it.
Additionally rap has to be the worst genre of crap likewise to disco.
But getting it banned would be infeasible to do.

He never said that he didn't like it, he even said that he didn't think it should be banned.
And as the the question we're talking about, I think that's just plain nonsense. How can someone just up and ban rap music from such a large country whose music industries have such a large number of rappers. Many people like rap, and there would be uproar if it was banned. It'd be like back in the forties and fifties, where rock was seen as 'the devil's music that would poison the youth's minds', which is completely ridiculous.

As much as I detest rap, I must say that banning rap because some don't like it is just...well, really friggin stupid. And one can infer that since you came up with this really stupid Idea that you yourself are...well, I'll stop there. But, in esscence, you're saying that "because I don't like it, ban it" or "because Im not included in that group, ban it". Thats like saying "Im not gay, so we should ban gays." or "I don't like Walnuts, so all walnuts in the US and Canada have to be discontinued indefinately". Instead of banning it, do what I do: Form an intellegent opinion and try to dissuade them from that music choice. Banning it would be the easy way out.

No matter how long a petition, it'd still take horrifying amounts of money away from those crunk radio stations.

And, in my own opinion, a lot of rap is bad.
Anything that's "I pop caps, beat and do my hoe, n*gga n*gga n*gga" is pathetic. I know, I know all rap isn't like that, but most stuff that makes it onto the radio is like that.

We had a fight in school about this. Why would you want to ban rap? Have you ever heard it? Yes, there are bad things in it but still. Take the song "Hate It or Love It" by 50Cent for example, all that 50 is doing is telling about his life and how bad it was, whats so wrong with that? Not all rap is even bad, listen to Kanye West. His rap is good and you might even like it if you gave it a chance. I don't listen to Country music but I'm not going to ban it just because I don't like it. Thats really just gay. Listen to it before you just shut it out. Peace out.........
