I don't know myself....

This just came across me, I don't know myself. I don't know what I want, and when people give me a choice, I want them to make it for me. I don't know what I like, Who I like, or what I want. All I know is to take orders. Now, that people are putting me in charge, I don't know how to react. Is anyone else like this? or am I just crazy? I could give some examples, but only if you ask me.

Well, duh I don't know how to make choices.... But, yea.... When people ask me opinion questions I'm just like, " -thinks- ummmm -thinks harder- Ummmmmmm -thinks so hard that her brain explodes- I don't know! "

To be honest a lot of my friends went through this, but none of them Post on this site so they won't be much help...

To lead you have had to be led.

Take the best points from your superiors in the past, and mix it with your own style, and attempt to do your best.

I can lead others under pressure, but for the most part I'm a lot like you Vendetta. I find that I follow others and do what I'm told. I rarely have anything to important to add in a real life conversation, or any good ideas to add to a team project etc. I often find myself asking who I really am. More outgoing people tend to annoy me. I'm more of a quiet and laidback guy. When I do share my opinions and and my wn thoughts, things always turn on me. I don't know, that's just how my life ends up working out 90% of the time.

Well soooooooorry Kira. Some people are like that, there's no reason to call us sad. Not everyone can be leaders and outgoing. If you think it's so " sad " then don't waste your time posting.

Some ppl are like this, my friends are sometimes. What you need to actually lead something, at least take charge once in your life, not just follow.If you ppl don't get what I'm saying, I must be stupid.

No you're not stupid, I am, it's just, easier said than done. I have no confidence, so I often cave. I try to change, but it can be hard to know when to lead and when to follow.

Ur not crazy I went threw the same thing. Except I wasn’t social because of it. what helped me believe it or not was playing paintball, my friends helped me out by making 2 teams of 3 and I was in charge of one what I had to do was bring my team to victory by giving fast and accurate orders it took me a while to feel comfortable with the pressure and imagine being in that type of situation the confusion running threw ur head it hectic. But I came threw. it took me about 2 days of hard core paint baling but it helped. Well thats my story sry for horrible spelling >_>

*Edit* For the most part i have nothing to contribute to a team activity unless it interests me. Im super laid back but i think thats cuz of reason im not allowed to mention on this forum ^_^

i'm more of a follower than a leader, but i take charge when no one else has an idea and i actually have one, or when no one will answer a question in class but i do and get the point

its a normal phase, I went through it, and I know multiple people who went through it. Its natural. So dont worry too much over it (cause stress gives you wrinkles!) <3333

This seems to be my solution for everything lately, but I seriously think this is a good idea. You should get drunk (pretty drunk, but not so that you're unable to walk/talk) and go on a date with yourself. Just you and the mirror. Ask yourself questions, and the alcohol should ensure honest answers.

It's a foolproof plan!

When you say.. giving choices and what you want

some people only have one choice and usually never get what they want..

To me you seem like a person who just doesn't know what paths to take.. or is uncertain of what things would benefit you the most

Just remember though.. knowing yourself doesn't have to go to the highest standards.. some times the simplest things in life describe who you really are.

And you know what? it's better than breaking your head.. simple and true

oh and the drunk plan only works until morning.. when you totally forget what happened the other night

I didn't say it, 'cause I thought it was obvious, but of course he would have to write the answers down -.-. Perhaps record them in case his writing isn't so hot when he's drunk. There, foolproof plan.

really? Awsome! But, yea.. some exapmles, are like.. A vending machince with soda, I don't know which I want... So, i just press all the buttons at once, and get what ever i get. I guess it could also be bacuse I am used to being thatnkful for just having a soda (for example) and I would take whatever kind I could. So, i don't know what I like, as long as I have some.

I'm exactly the same. I've decided (finally) to try and work myself out because if anyone asks me a question, I can't answer. Just keep thinking and then you will know how you work. It's kind of nice to go on a little journey of self-discovery.
