So what do you guys think about Dynasty Warriors 5 ???? I think that it is a pretty good game.

I think it is an awesome game. The reviews it got were bullcrap. It is by far one of the most innovative, creative, and funnest games around. Lu Bu is hard to beat though, they definetly made it a challenge. I like Ma Chao, Zhou Yun, Xiahou Dun, and Pang Tong.

... the problem with DW is its a very slow growing series... but still its pretty awesome and i am addicted to it and extreme legends... need to get empires... empires is the best way to play it...

As for characters i like all even the "bottom tier" people like Lu Xun and Diao Chan

Played Dynasty Warriors n Samurai Warriors. They're both equally fun n I luv 'em. But DW5:Extreme Legend's a bit too much for me. I never survive more than I could anyway.

yeah Lu Bu is hard to beat on every one. I was going to get it but my boy OG said it wasn't all that good like he expected to be so he traded it in. so i just never got it.

I like Zhou Yu but the francise are messing up!! They need to put it online like with the network adopter for the PS2 and then I would like Dynasty Warriors, it will be alot more funnier!!! A Think bout that u and ur clan or gang fight ulimited amout of other pplz and NPC players that would be even greater!!! Team up with friends online and kill enemies would be even greatest!!!! LOL!!!!!!!
But I kinda still like the games just not as much as I used too!!!

yeah Lu Bu is hard to beat on every one. I was going to get it but my boy OG said it wasn't all that good like he expected to be so he traded it in. so i just never got it.

He is pretty tough. I only managed to beat him once in every game with a low level character. Now, once I level up he ain't bad at all, but when I'm weak I just try and ignore him, lol. Its a good game though, definetly worth the money.

Its good too see other captains on the map killing other captains & moving on without your help. In past games you always had to go & help them kill peons & such, which was a bit annoying when your all the way over the other side of the map without Lu Bu's Horse X_X

I heard lots say its repetitive, hell yeah it can be but I get great satisfaction from killing hundreds & hundreds of peons/captains. cleaning up the map until the final Character is only left

Like being Sun Shang Xiang the most.

If DW would actually increase it's gameplay and graphics department then it would probably have a much larger fanbase.

All the new DW games that Koei keeps throwing out there are just clones of the 4th one. Now as for me, I like playing DW. It's fun and has excellent replay value. But it has not made any improvements besides Empires since DW 4 came. Now all you get in the new ones are a few new characters and items, a new story for each character, and some extra modes. But what really annoys me is that DW 5 has LESS!! Battles than 4!! WTF!!??

Anyway, I still like playing DW and I must say that my favorite characters are Zhang He, Cao Ren, Liu Chan, Guan Ping, Zhuge Liang and Da Qiao.

Da Qiao is my woman. MINE! I killed Sun Ce and took Da Qiao! Now she is MINE!!!

how many of u have unlocked chaos mode yet it is pretty hard.....o yea Zhao Yun is one of the greatest characters on the game.

I unlocked Chaos mode. Its pretty easy if you have your character leveled up decently. The best thing about Dynasty Warriors 5 is that it can always get harder, lol, unlike 4 which I flew through pretty quickly, even on hard mode. If it wasn't on hard mode, I had 0 chance of losing, which is why I didn't like it as much as 3 and 5.

Although I love the DW series, the best way to experience the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (the stories the series is based upon) is to pick up the strategy game by the same name. It has everyone (650 characters you can play as, plus custom characters), and follows the history pretty closely, until you start messing it up.
