Does anyone here like the band Led Zeppelin. Personally, they are my favorite band. All of their music is great. One major rule for posting here is: dont bash Led Zeppelin without reasons. If your going to post that you dislike Led Zeppelin, then you have to tell why.

I've listened to Led Zeppelin from time to time, but it's only one or two songs that I know, the one that comes to mind of course is "Stairway to Heaven", but I guess that just makes me a hack and not really be a fan of Led Zeppelin, but he has good songs. I like'em, and if I have a chance, I'll listen to more of his music. Cool thing that you brought'em up. Should probably go and listen to some of his music now.

Ugh, Im sick of people coming in and saying "OMG I love led zeppelin! Stairway to heaven is like..teh best song ever! Im SO a classic rocker because i've heard the song!" No one here really did that but...yeah. Me, Im a hardcore Led Zep fan. They're the band that got me into classic rock. Rock and Roll, Down on the Tiles, ON the Gallows pole, Tangerine, Black Dog, Achilles Last Stand, Battle of Evermore, Misty Mountain Hop, Dyer Maker, The ocean, and The Rover are my favorite led Zep songs. Oh, crap, almost forgot When the Levee Breaks, Kashmir, Heartbreaker, and Since I've been lovin' you. They started the progressive rock revolution. (well, technically it was the beatles and king crimson who started the prog rock revolution, but Dream theatre is also prog rock, and the wing man would shat himself with anger if he heard me catagorize the beatles and dream theater in the same sentence)

Oh masali, when will you quit compareing dream theater to bands that are 100 times better?The beatles being the worst band to put in the same place with them, that is like putting greenday with led zeppelin.Oh yah, i went there.

Yeah, but you see Dream Theater is actually a good band with good musicians who play good music and don't sell out for money. So Dream Theater with those bands is much more accurate then Greenday with any band that is tolerable to listen to.

I know next to nothing about Led Zeppelin. I don't think I'd be able to name any of their songs off the top of my head. My dad never listened to them much when I was growing up, and he is/was my music guru.

And just because a band is newer or has a different style doesn't mean that they are any less talented, or more so compared to bands like Led Zeppelin or The Beatles. Just because they are older and hold more credibility doesn't mean that they are untouchable when comparing this to that.

Man my new live led zep cds are great, and i really do not think you can't compare them to other rock bands besides a few.They have really set the bar high, and defined rock & roll for every generation after.
