Do you understand paranoia?

I talked to alot of people about Paranoia Agent and they all said they didn't like it because it was confusing. What do you think?

Perhaps it has no real purpose as we define it. Perhaps its just a reflection of our society and its faults. Yes, that comment was the product of deep thought, don't be suprised.

I understood it perfectly. It was all a fairly simple symbol of how a lie can become more powerful if it is believed, possibly to grow to titanic proportions, but has only the power we give it. Not much to misunderstand.

yes i agree with that perfectly, although you dont realy figure that out until the uh detective guy talks to the father of the lady who created that stuff animal thingy.

Paranoia Agent was rather simple. There are much more difficult anime to understand out there.

Even if you understood it, that doesn't make it any less interesting to watch. You are far too critical of things for the absolute worst reasons, and it's a wonder that you watch anything or play anything at all.

oooh! so, that's what it was called... I've read about it in an anime review magasine last year. It was called "Mousoudairyn" = The Immaginary Substitute. I've been searching mad for it and now i found out it was called "Paranoia agent". Damn!

While the Can't-figure-the-darn-thing-out-until-the-last-moment genre is my favorite in anime, Paranoia Agent isn't an especially good example of that genre. Basically, I didn't like the characters or story enough to watch it if I knew what the heck people were talking about from the beginning. I mean, woo, an anime about...

For the record, I like Paranoia Agent. But I'm not gonna tell you that I like it for any reason but the convoluted plot, and if the plot was fairly readable, like Naruto (which is an entirely different kind of story, but still OK) I would not have wasted my time.

And really, everyone finds other people's reasoning for disliking things they like stupid, 9/10 times. God knows, when you say something sucks that I like, I think you're being stupid. For example, Ico. I just don't call you on it so offen.

To me, at first, it was shady. But once i got it I enjoyed it because all the peices fit together just right!
