Gun or Sword?

Many people have mixed answers on this, but really, gun or sword?

I prefer to have just a hand to hand fight. Thats the best way, by far.

Swords would be my next choice.

Guns are for cowards, and anyone can use a gun. It takes no real skill, unless you are a sniper. So long as you can stand and shoot the thing, and not get knocked on your butt or break your wrist from the recoil, then you can use a gun. Stupid things really. Guns are so unintimate and non-personal. At least with a sword, you would have to look into the eyes of the person you are attacking or fighting off.

Fists are the way to go.

i would choose A GunBlade hahaha j/k but i would choose that from Final Fantasy VIII Squal's Sword. but fo real i would choose a sword it show's that im no coward that is scared of fighting up close and attack straight on forward and slash my enemy up. but a gun is cool also

Squals gunblade is hawt w00t, i'd chose a sword, you can do so many more attacks with it, Guns just shoot....How boring >.>

I agree Li, Guns are kinda cowardish, but they can be otherwise. Personally i'd choose a sword. Hmm i'm actually contemplating fencing >.>

I personally have a distaste for the gun blade. The concept is nice for a novelty item I suppose, but to actually use such a thing is just ridiculous, especially if you frequently used the revolver.

Personally, as a collector, I like swords.
In a fight, I would rather have a gun. The reasons should be obvious.

I was going to say there are already several threads like this, but I dunno it's been a while I guess they must have been closed.

I'll say guns though once again. Why? They actually DO require skill to use, along with a considerable amount of tactical thinking.

I'm not saying swords don't require skill, they do, but guns have a lot more depth (literally).

In my opinion, guns show cowardness.It shows that youd prefer to stay back in the fight and not want to get hand to hand.Swords are more honerable.(my opinion)

You can have all the honor in the world, it still won't deflect a bullet. As I say, "He who lives by the gun, dies by the gun. He who lives by the sword is going to get shot sooner." If you can't tell, I'm going with the guns.

I will go for the guns (For guns, I refer to REAL firearms, like rifles, not those wussy handguns), due to the fact that NOT any idiot can wield a rifle as it must. It is optimal to use it with a bayonet, and a telescope, since it will improve remarkably its performance, alas, you need training to use it efficiently, since rifles have high recoil.

of course a person with a gun could kill a person with a sword faster. That's what I'm saying... I hate that. It is cowardly.

Yeah, rifles take practice to be able to use proficiently, I used to be on a marksmanship team for my four years of high school. I learned how to sight a rifle and compensate for wind and elevation, and for a sight that was off. Rifles take lots of work to be good at using, and I respect anyone who can use one well.

But as far as fighting goes, I'd prefer hand to hand, and in answer to the topic question, I'd choose a sword, as in sword to sword. I'd hate to be in a gun fight.

I find Swords so much cooler ^_^ Though some guns are pretty cool... a gun is more deadly, for instance, to use a sword you need to be in close range but depending on the type of gun you can be quite far away from the target lol. But both are quite cool.
