As for choosing moderators, the administrators choose who they want as staff ^.^

Staff members make suggestions, and pass them on to Princess Minako and Kaitou Ace at that point THEY choose who will become moderators.

When there is a need for them...

I'm not much of an otaku anymore, but I do admit to spending a bit too much on my manga raids in Akihabara.

As for choosing the mods: now a days people are nominated and all the mods discuss the choice. Admins make the final decision.

Anyway, (getting back to the topic before all the admins and mods kill me <.< >.>) I was wondering who your favorite Mod/Admin was at the time when you wheren't one yourself? (if that dosen't make any sence, then i suck at english i guess. >.>)

@alias: I politely remind them of the rules. Most newbies don't know what the rules are and not all forums act the same. However, if they continued to behave that way, then I would start to dish out warnings.

@saphy: Interesting question! Well, when I first arrived I stayed at AW.com forum and there was no mod at the time. However, the few times I did venture out I came to respect Ai. We've had our ups and downs, but I think she's a pretty cool chick.

Saphy: I've actually been a mod twice, so there'll be two answers...

The first time (modded FanFiction), I had just arrived to AnimeGlobe from Tux, right around when it was starting up (January). I knew Ace through Tux, and got to know Tasuki from AG. I choose them by default XDDD

The second time (modding Magical Girls) my list expands to Ace, Minako, LPS, Aies, Pooks, Myrra, Klutz, Whispers, and...uh...other people who were mods/admin at that time. Hard to keep track of who started when, you know? I have a lot of favorites

I was a Moderator twice myself too.. I was the Video Games moderator at Tuxedomask, and Anime News & Avatars for AG & AF as "Goten", now just recently again for Romance Anime.

But my favorite at the time (at TmDc) was T-chan. And for AG it had to have been Motoki-O.

My favorite mod/admin from before I was one? What an odd question. Why do
people always try to make us play favorites with each other?

I can't even answer this question. I was one of the first admins to ever work
for Ace, shortly after the first chatroom that actually supported them was
introduced on Tuxedomask.com back in ... late '99 or early '00? I can't
remember when they got rid of the volano chat, but it was after September or
August 1999, which is when I started chatting there. I don't remember exactly
when I became an admin either, since I have a horrible memory for dates.
That was also before we had a board that supported "moderators", we used to
have to log into the site to delete problem posts. Sheesh, I just realized my
seven year anniversary already came and went.

One thing is for sure, though - I was never ANYBODY'S favorite. I had a lot
of anger at the world and a big list of people who lived to try my patience.
Fortunately I redirected most of that energy towards improving myself over the
past several years, instead.

When I recover from the shock....oh, wait, I've yet to recover.
Not much I can do...except on occasion get help in ascertaining what the heck they're saying. I'd love to be able to correct everything, but alas, I'd be here a very long time.

hmmm...Good question. I try not to play favourites...I like everyone. But when I first started LPS was the mod that I got to know well and so by default was my favourite. Minako scared me back then....in fact, she still does. But I like all of our mods and admins here.
(though I love a few more than others )

Favorite Mod, I don't think I answered that. It'd be hard to choose, I mean I looked up to a lot of people. I always liked Whispers and Reiako, and of course my Mina-mom scared the hell out of me at first, because of bad advice but even now I look up to her and to Acey...
Pretty much the mod team has qualities that are admirable in each of them.

Throughout the months/years you've been doing your job, instead of asking who your favourite person throughout your time as staff has been, what about your LEAST favourite? who do you really, really hate the absolute most here?
