As a players who has invested THOUSANDS into games no I don't think games are over priced. The staffs for most games are huge now. And if anything games were getting cheaper, but HD screwed that up.

like you were gonna do something more productive with 50 bucks, if there even is something productive you can do with that amount. games like Oblivion or GW Factions are well worth it given the insane work put into them.

I know!! The really good ones come out, and you've been dying to play it, then you find out you need like, 50 bucks more!! o_O; It's ridiculous. I know that when new games come out they're expensive, but even over time they aren't lowered. @.@

I don't thhink that game prices are that big of a deal. I certainly can't afford every good game that I want, but you go around that by reading reviews of the games and only buy the ones that you will enjoy the most. Plus, you can always trade in old games so that you will have credit or cash for new ones. If you don't want to give those games up...I guess youll have to get some kind of job or just patiently wait for price drops. Besides, waiting to purchase a game can have some nice benefits; I waited to purchase Devil May Cry 3, since it wasn't at the top of my list, and by the time I was ready to buy, the Special Edition version was out.

i have a PS2 and most of there games are cheap
and if you are so worried about the prices wait a few monthes for the
game prices to go down.... they arent really expensive any way..

Yes they are pretty expensive, but I think it's worth it.
I only own a few games because of that and I dont really care
I also borrow games from friends.

Yeah, I don't like the price of some games either. But I put up with it. I figure that around £40 or £50 is a fair price considering the number of man hours that goes into a game. Around £40 or £30 was the average price for old games as well, and those were just on tape cassette.

Well that would be because those are old games. Games tend to decrease in price the older they get.

Personally I don't find them THAT expensive, But i would rather wait for the price to drop on some games i don't feel like buying at 50 dollars..
