I deleted him and now he is back on my myspace. Hes like a stalker or something.Originally Posted by -akichan-

[QUOTE=Meisou]no its not by one person
myspace is a large company dude...[QUOTE]
Your right as I just found out that myspace was bought for $629m in July last year by Rupert murdoch's news corp.
I only found this out a few weeks ago as the've been in the news as people have been complaining that their blogs are being tampered with without their permission.
The link to the first article on this is below

And if that wasn't bad enough they seem to be doing this to anything they deem as competition

No kidding o___O;;; seriously, if hes in charge of the whole myspace thingy, he can still stalk us without being on the frdlist. I hate to have pplz i dunno on my list.Originally Posted by ~Life~
And the problem is that...if we can block friend request by typing names, comment approvals...why cant we block messages from strangers...its kinda wrong ><; I keep on getting messages from strangers sending chain letters, or insults talking about your background which it isnt on your page, and all they know are true, isnt that scary?! o____O;
Myspace is a bit messed up, but im not quiting that until something realli realli horrible to happen to me. Ill just have to be careful from now on, and have to find out how to block messages from strangers.
I hate it. =o
I have a myspace its great when your friends are on but when they're not it is sort of boring.
Have you ever seen a myspace of a black person? I don't mean the black guy you invite over to dinner to meet your parents, or the white guy posing as a black guy(we call them geniuss out here) but I mean the black guy who will shoot a cracker for a trojan! Because I haven't if you can find one email me at [email protected].

I really don't think myspace is a good idea. But then again it's the persons fault for putting the personal info on there in the first place.
i watched the news last week and it was talking about harassment on myspace became the real thing. Many pplz were raped and killed ><; thats only wut i heard.
My Space is fun and entertaining for me. It is a great way to keep up with alot of my old friends, and ones that are moving away and going out into the world.
Even better yet, it is a good place to meet and greet, as well as for forums-- yes, I use the forums elsewhere too-- and those forums that I use range from talking about studies of religions and occult studies and practices, to talking about punk rock, political issues and rallying protests, and video games, and many other things.
Its a good way to organize friends for events and parties, and can be quite useful.
What I've been seeing a lot of lately, and even on this site, is a lot of My Space bashing just because of the negative image it is getting in the media. There is nothing wrong with My Space in itself, just all the stupid things some of the people are doing on there, or through the use of it. Or perhaps just stupid people doing stupid things, that also happen to have a My Space.
All you My Space bashers don't really have a valid reason to hate on it. You can't blame things that have happened through My Space, on My Space, because it is only a medium, and people have been doing a lot of messed up things for a long long time. Long before My Space, and they will also be doing them long after My Space is gone.
But that might be too much common sense for some of you. So take it or leave it.
Well said Li.
I like MySpace, and I use it frequently. I have am a very busy person most of the time, and I like to keep in contact with my friends and family members who live in other parts of the world, and MySpace is the medium through which I do so. Because I am so busy, I do not get to go out a lot, but I can log into MySpace and send a quick messege to the people I know, so I can maintain the minimal social life I have.
The media tends to present a very negative view of MySpace, focusing on the sexual harassment and other crimes which have used MySpace as a medium. Well, the fact is that MySpace requires being 16 years of age or older to join. Many younger teenagers and children join anyway, thereby breaking the rules that MySpace has set up. At this point, we can hold these children responsible for breaking the rules. Also consider that many of these sexual harassments occur due to the "friends" section on MySpace. Many people like to simply add as many people as they can, whether they know them or not, which an put them in a bad situation with criminals, especially pedofiles and such. Again, these people who just add everyone they see to their friends lists have the fault on their shoulders. There is and always will be predators lurking in the shadows ready to strike, but these people, rather than avoiding them, walk right up and say hello.
If people are able to use it responsibly, then everything, for the most part, would be okay, but, that will not happen so long as people continue to be the way they are.
There are also reports of violence originating through MySpace. Again, the only people one is allowed to communicate with on MySpace are those on their "friends" list. We all have the option to "approve" or "deny" all friend requests. Assuming that a person who would try to harm you is someone who dislikes you or is an enemy, the only way they could talk to you would be for one to allow them onto one's "friends" list. Now, why would one put a person who dislikes them/they dislike on their "friends" list? I'll leave that up to interpretation, seeing as I would not do that, as it defies my logic.
If people followed the rule of MySpace, took some responsiblity, and had some rational thought, most of the problems would never happen. I say most, because a few strange things will always happen somehow.
