Best and worst fighting games ever

Just trying to see how die hard fighting game fans visit here. So please any comments feel free to post

I have to say my all time favorite fighting game is Tekken 3, becuase namco had gotten there system down, anything they add i.e. tag, was just icing on the cake.

I can't say i have a despised fighting but maybe a few titles will pop-up later.

I've always been partial to DOA. I also like the Budokai games (the newest one owns)

However...I can't stand Mortal Kombat, I don't know why, but the combat seems far too slow.

The first fighting game I ever played was street figher, then street fighter2, i loved them both but i was only about 8. Another one of my favorites is super smash bros, of course, both for the 64 and cube, i love being able to have four players just senslessly beating the crap out of each other. I have the budokai games, i really like those because of the hard combinations you need to master in order to win. (we'll i think there hard). AND then you have SOUL CALIBUR, i have the 2nd one and it ROCKS. my characters of choice are cassandra and Link.
ya Redfield, i have played mortal combat, im glad i never baught it though because I really didnt care for it. thats all.

Best? Hmmm. Either guilty gear series, or Capcom VS. Marvel, or Capcom VS. SNK. Worst? Hah, that'd be Virtua.

Best... I definitally like Dead or Alive, and second place would be Soul Calibur.

Worst... I really didn't like Mortal Combat either, but if it would qualify then I would say the fighting in hockey games. It's just so much more gratifying to see it in real life.

I would say Soulcalibur. Then Tekken.
DOA seems alright, but the hits feel really weak or something...>_< I don't know, it's hard to explain.
The worst would be any boxing game.

DOA and Capcom vs SNK are favs for me too.
I am really getting in the KOF series. I like Budokai, but i can stand the most recent installment of the Dragonball series fighter.
I liked Mortal Kombat 4 and I think that was it.
I am also a big fan of Armored Core, its not a traditional fighter but its fun.

For me it starts from Guilty Gear XX then goes to Street Fighter 3 : 3rd Strike.
And at the end you can put the DOA series

Really, you enjoy the slow stuff? I always get alittle annoyed at games that are too slow because i feel restricted. Budokai is the only one I can really put up with, but i love getting to use those really stronge attacks, so its worth it.

I liked the soul calibur and bushudo blade. I don't like the virtua fighter games but the tekken games took a toll on my quarters at the arcade

Soul Calibur II is probably the best fighting game of the year, especially the GCN version.

Dead or alive.I like the characters and how they fight mostly.
Also i beat alot of people on that game.I don't really know any bad ones.
I play dead or alive alot and not really any other fighting game.

Best fighting game:None. I keep losing in every game.

Worst fighting game: Battle Assault 3 Featuring Gundam Seed. Gundam games always fails, cut off most of the story, and made the controls VERY HARD. I didn't like this game. This game shouldn't been made in the first place.

I love soul calibur for the dreamcast, one of the best figthing games ever made. And 2 on the cube is a solid game as well. But I didn't like the ps2 version or x box versions nearly as much. I think part of the problem is the x box gummy bear buttons suck for fighting games. And spawn was pretty lousy overall.

The virtua fighter games are also some of the best games out there. I think one of the reasons people don't like it is because it actually takes skill to play. In most fighters you can button mash and do fine, but not virtua fighter. This makes me want to boot up virtua fighter 2 on the saturn. And actually buy virtua fighter evolution for ps2. Since all it's just virtua fighter 4 with more content, for 10$ that soudns good to me.

Two of my least favorite fighters have been tekken and DOA. Tekken because the fighting just isn't any good. i can't think of a simpler way to put it. And as for DOA, it has to be the most immature and sad fighting game out there. Also the fighting is just terrible. When you can pull off massive combos by only hitting one button, then the combat is broken.

And as for mortal kombat, I think the two latest games have been pretty ok. The old ones are just to clunky to actually enjoy playing though. And as for the worst fighting game ever made, you have all been way way off. That title belongs to cosmic carnage on the 32X and honestly I think it always will. But then again, I have yet to play fight for life on the atari jaguar. And I hope I never do.

Personally my favorite fighting game is DOA, because of the characters, the story, and the moves. Not to mention DOA was one of the first PS2 games I actually liked. I also enjoy Soul Calibur because of the characters and their moves.

I cannot stand Tekken and Mortal Combat though. Tekken has to be the worst fighting game series I have ever played, the characters are poor and their moves are poorer, and with Mortal Combat I can only tolerate one of their games.
