Macromedia Flash MX

lol...thats a good one...but as of late most people dont read the manual...its usually so long and boring.

well i learned everything i know of computers from experiance and watching some friends...took me about a month to get used the Macromedia Flash MX. I made this little scene of stick figures fragging each other...took about a month...about 700 frames...No manual either. I just test what each tool did .. i learned from my mistakes. But i guess i didnt read the manual because i was never supplied with one and i was at home with no net.

Trial and error is a bad way of learning how to use things. It will leave you with knowledge-gaps, and make you prone to making all the mistakes the manual would have warned you about.

Because Flash is an expensive program. Most under the age of 18-19 don't even have a manual because they just download the program off of Kazaa or Limewire.

Yeah that's exactly my problem lol. I looked through the tutorials you get with the program, but I can't even find what I want there.

Check out the book store. They often have books explaining how to use popular programs. I have found some nice photoshop tutorial books there, so perhaps you can find flash books there as well.

Coincidentally, I am currently learning Flash in my Digital Graphics class at school. Just thought I would throw that in there.

I would also suggest looking at a local book store. There is usually some of those "For Dummies" books, and I'm sure there is a Flash one, if not other flash tutorial books.
