Default Something that rubs me the wrong way

Well I'll tell you "What Really grinds my Gears"

Thing is....the fact that the music industry is so back wards now days.I mean the talent they do find is cool don't get me wrong, but it's findings aren't anything like they used to be.They changed their talent and marketing industry so drastically, so much so that alto of actually VERY talented musicians out there struggle forever to get a dead end at their door.So alto of the best is now underground and hard to find, well as we can find some liking to this situation but as time goes on we tend to all come the the question. What the hell is wrong with this picture? Commercialism is fine as it is publicity and there is NO bad publicity, I think it is just insane they tend to over look allot of ppl and or not even look. There is ALOT of several underrated talent out there, hell they outnumber the things that are out there right now.
I've got buddy's in the inside of the business, and well we have had discussions on this and well most evan on the inside agree.But...as the music industry spins like some lost top with no direction, things come and go and hard to tell whats coming if anything different.
    What do you think?
I mean musicians that know their stuff and done their homework here will see exactly what I mean, but ppl feel free to add on ect.
Just make sure theres no bloody flaming arguments ect.

Sure, I live in the 80's. But the majority of 80's guitar players are more talented than most today, who do you think inspired who you listen to to play guitar in the first place knucklehead?Respect your elders!

I agree that the popular music of today is really repetative. I mean, 3 Punk bands like Simple Plan, New Found Glory, and Taking Back Sunday is alright. But when there are 20+ bands on MTV that write and play the same damn songs as the next band and when I can't tell any of them apart anymore, I say that's insane. ><

I don't think these bands have 'horrible' talent (I can't stand Simple Plan, but that's just me), it's just ... not worthy of so much attention, I think.

It's more about the money, not the meaning anymore. Once producers know one thing works, they're going to milk that idea for all it's worth. I guess that's a simple way to sum it all up.

i hate when marilyn manson remakes some good songs...dont get me wrong,i like some of his songs but not the remakes....the best band has to be AC/DC.they rock and they're in their 50's
