Have anyone ever seen a Korean movie? I've heard that they were the best romance movies in the world or something like that o.O (maybe horror too)
If you have, which one is your favourite?

Old boy <3 that's my fav movie too!
Both Oldboy and Phone are great. If you haven't seen oldboy, you've definately missed out on something. Be sure to watch it before the american version comes out and ruins it all. (I don't mean to whine, but really, what's up with making mediocre american versions of every single asian flick that gets some praise? Don't get me started on the ring 2.)
And I saw two korean movies to day, both made by Kim Ki-duk. Bin Jip was one, and it was great. I'd like to see another director make a good movie where the main character doesn't say a word through the entire film. I also saw Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring, that one was great too. Both recomended. Koreans make some nice movies.
i've seen Arahan and Volcano High i like em both
Aki + korean movies = <33
[x] Beautiful Days
[x] Hoteliers
[x] Winter Sonata
[x] Autumn Heart
[x] Piano
these are all my loves.
As far as phone goes, it was just the same kind of formula expected of asian horror flicks theese days. Tale of two sisters was better as it had a little twist on the other horrors. Sympathy for mister vengeance is likely to make you cry as it is possibly one of the saddest movies I have seen. Oldboy was good but I'm not too sure about the ending. Directed by the same guy as oldboy, The quiet family is hilarious (if anyone has seen miike's happiness of the katikuries, it is based on the quiet family.)
there was one called The Eye. a horror movie.

Derp.
Seems like you guys have seen lots of Korean movies...I've only seen one, lol. That was "Too beautiful to lie" it was pretty funny (romance/comedy), but I'm sure there is better movies than that one. Thanx everyone for the reply, now I know some movies I wanna see!
Btw, it doesn't matter what category the movie is, you can post about any Korean movies ^^
Korean dramas are better than Korean movies, IMO. And if you don't mind, I'd like to say that, although portraid as a wimpy romantic, Yon-sama (as he is known in Japan) is quite hot.
