    Default General Knowledge

Have a question that you don't know the answer for, you have come to the right post? Chemistry, Physics, Biology, general knowledge question, any questions in general, or mind-blowing riddles, ask here. Also, post any intriguing stuff that you know that others might be interested in.

Let me begin: How many characters are there in the Japanese Language?

In my mother tongue, which is Telugu, we have about 2500 characters.

Some respect prefixes and suffixes in Sanscrit and Telugu:

    1) -garu has the same meaning as the Japanese prefix -chan.

    2) -sami (Lord or title given to a martial artist) has the same meaning as the Japanese prefix -sama.

    3) -andi has the same meaning as -kun.

    Suffixes:

    4) Rei ________, in the blank space you have to put in a name, and it has to be a guy's name.

    5) Mei ________,in the blank space you have to put in a name, and it has to be a girl's name.

Mostly teenagers and children use these suffixes, don't say these for elderly people.

    Enlighten us .

4_4_4_4=7; fill in needed blanks w/ :*,+,/,-; in order to make true.

Ps, somthing funny you could have done is to answer my questions w/ 42.

Physically speaking, mass cannot be negative since its not a vector quantity, but weight can be negative.

(4+4)-(4/4) = 7, not sure if that what you are looking for. BTW, intriguing questions. Keep 'em coming.

    Questions from me:

    1) Where did martial arts originate from?

    2) What is the land of white elephants?

    3) what's the answer to your question about number 42:

Aren't there like 167 eps to Inuyahsa and five movies? I mean, not that I would know.

As for 42 being the answer to everything,
It just is. Everyone just confuzes themselves with what the original question was. (ok, so that was practically taken from the movie/book, which is/are great btw)

    A "murder" of crows

A group of Ravens were sometimes collectively referred to as an unkindness or a conspiracy.

Edit: oops! forgot a question...humm...How many states are there in the US...some ppl tell me 50 (and I'm pretty sure it is) or is it 51?

What are you on about? Black holes have extremely high mass, not negative mass.

Energy can never be negative, therefore mass can't be either, because m = E/c^2, a negative mass would mean negative energy. Negative energy would mean that energy can be destroyed, and it can't.

Post-it Notes were invented by accident by a man named Silver. He was trying to make an stronger adhesive but ended up makes a weaker one. As the adhesive was weaker, he didn't know what to do with the invention. A few years later a man name Fry joined the team at M3 and come upon a use for the weak adhesive when he was having trouble keeping his bookmarks in their place--the glue was weak enough to not damage the page and strong enough to hold the paper in place.

    THE END!

My Question: (man, I have to think of another one...boo)

Do they really take old horses to the glue factory?

    let's see... a question...

It's really easy and relativly fast to built up a tollerance to the chemicals in in-organic foods, which isn't even a significant ammount to begin with, and it's much more economical. So then why is the organic food fad picking up popularity?

This is fun but im running out of questions
Martial arts originated in this South Asian Country: India. I learnt this when I took martial arts history class back in Madurai, when I used to learn Swarga Chakra martial arts.

Question:How many Chakras are there in one's body?

you mean, when people look at the moon, they see the earth? Odd answer... but not really what I'm looking for. I'm just curious what other cultures see in the contours of the Moon. Not a trick question or a riddle...

Oh ok, I thought it was a trick question, if you look at your question it says :"what does other countries see on the moon?"
And I thought like you stand on the moon and you can see the earth.
Clever answer anyway, but since it's wrong..

Don't people always say the moon is made out of cheese...doesn't that mean they should see a cheese factory or something? (I'm serious about this I'm not being a smart ***)...maybe the man on the moon is making cheese?
