Are men polygamous in nature?

some people would say that men are polygamous in nature ... that they just cant help but have more women in their life... i dont believe this... this may be true for some.. but not for all.... some are sensible and honest to the people around them...what do you think?

yea , most of the men are the bedhoppers , but not all . I have alota girls that are friends , but im honest with them as i see fit for each one .. i dont have an alter ego . It seems shallow and just stupid to ruin a good friendship or decieve it

One is enough for me. I couldnt deal with trying to have two women.

Also men can't cheat if there isnt a woman to cheat with. and vice versa. It takes two to tango and both sides are worng when they do it. A married man will cheat with a married female faster than with a single female. Why? Because both have something to lose, so normally they both will keep quiet about it.

Its more of a self esteem thing. People who cheat will do it because they want to prove that altho they're married they still can pick up others. They're still desireable. I've never cheated, but after I dated ryan for 4 years during college NO ONE even looked at me anymore. No one said "Hey you look nice" because everyone knew that we were seriously dating. A lot of people when they see the ring just turn the other way and it can start to nag at your concience if you arn't sure of yourself.

In the defense of the other half a lot of the time the cheater doesn't exactly tell the other person that their married, or in a relationship. So if the other party doesn't realise that they're cheating or involved they don't know any better. Its not like I do a background check on anyone I start dating.... altho in this day and age you might need to start...

A lot of the time, sex isn't about sex. There are underlying reasons such as power or self esteem.

The great conundrum, Freud says everything displays your sexual repression, but then actual sex is never about sex itself..... Siggy I just don't get it @_@

Minako is correct. I wasn't looking deep enough. Simple neglect can cause your partner to look else where for what there lacking. Attention and Affection being two of the biggest things unfortunately.

Well, to say men are polygamous, is to say that all gay men are feminine or lesbians are butch. It's actually a disgrace and quite steriotypical. Now, Minako typed out some really good valid points, however, I personally believe that although it's a way to "show" that people still think you're cute/hot/whichever, it is still wrong. And.. You need to remember, that woman are just as quility as men, when it comes to affairs.

You see, I live on a Military Base, so a lot of these guys here are off in Iraq, and it sickens me to see their wives, having affairs, left and right, and even getting PREGNANT.. While their husband is in Iraq. It's a daily thing.

However, I am not trying to be sexist, there ARE also a lot of men, who do the same thing. So I'm not helping either side. Besides, if any of you knew me to begin with, you know I RARELY defend the male species. xD

Reasons why men cheat:
Your lady doesn't put out

It's challenging and exciting
You can get away with it
It boosts your ego
The opportunity was there
Your girlfriend is a nag
Women let us
She doesn't turn you on anymore
You don't love her anymore

VERY different reasons. Women mostly give reasons that they feel that the man is not living up to expectations or their 'role' while men do it mostly for the thrill, or it was there, or ego boost. It was hard to find the why for women but no site had anything about an ego boost for females. Just food for thought.

So according to this 60% of married men cheat while 40% of married women cheat. Interesting

And the other 40% of men, need to be found. QUICKLY. Because I'm dying here. And as for James Vaughan. He makes me quiver about relationships, because the majority of percentage rules.. So the likely hood of US, being the age that we are, it will be hard to find commitment. I don't like those odds.
