Whats Your Take on the old school consoles?
Be cool!
My take? I love the old school in many ways i love it more than the new school. Long live 2-d!
i dont get u wat the old school
Eh, I still play games back on the Atari, NES, and SNES, great time consumers.
I love old school stuff.
I still play my SNES quite regularly, and would be playing my genesis and atari 2600 but... the previous is fried and the latter has no working games. >.<
It seems that old stuff is a bit more fun... less stuff to complain about since the game is for the gameplay, not the graphics, and not how precise the physics are.

Super Mario Bros., a prime example: A plumber rescues a princess from an evil turtle. Why? We didn't care. There was more than enough shell kickin', head stompin', platform ridin', vine climbin' and mushroom eatin' to satsify the post-modern gamer's appetite. Story didn't matter, just as long as the gameplay was adaptable.
Phew.... video games have really evolved from "Pong".
Sega Genius, Super Nintendo... yeah yeah. Good times. Fond memories.

Oh they did you just had to have played the right ones, no different from today.Back when games didn't have story and depth
Legend of Dragoon and all the Crash trilogys with Pac-mam were my favs. The old skool is way better than the new skool. Even though they had bad graphics u would always get addicted to it no matter what.Though Legend of Dragoon has those cool dragoon tranformation scenes.

When talking about video games, old school means all the old consoles and games, back in the 8-bit, 16-bit and whatever-bit days.Originally Posted by jjpb_21
I've only just gotten in to playing on old consoles, and you can blame lack of old school consoles when I was younger. I never owned a NES, SNES etc when I was younger, I only had an Amiga Home Computer and a Commodore 64 Home Computer, but I still found the games on both of them great. It's the same for the old console games, most of them are great.
