Punk vs. Metal

I see a lot of people who like punk and people who like metal but which do you like more? I like both but I listen to more punk.

(the e-string is the highest/lowest string on the guitar) and scream about some failed relationship. oh wait, thats emo music. well, the same except they're screaming about incoherent random stuff like...the government.

I avoid punk like the plague, if i wanted to listen to a bunch of self important egotistical pompous douche bags i would watch the house of representatives. And at least there is never any angst there.

Ooo! I've been waiting for a thread like this!

Metal is the better of the two. I'm a total metal head. I prefer Death Metal and Heavy Metal mostly. The harder the better, like Lamb Of God hard...

It takes a few listens to get the words in the songs. But I like it that way!

Punk mostly is just too complaisive for me. Most of the time it's just mad wails on a guitars and drums and they make fun of things, that's not a song.
