I noticed that there are like NO new threads in this forum. So I made this one. I know the title escapes what it's about but I couldn't really think of anything else.

Ok, This is about Darkwave. No it isn't a band it's actually a music style. I was like 'What!?' when I saw it too. So the main reason is to talk about this Darkwave stuff. Because it has a cool evil name I am going to make a blind comment and say this sounds like a good music style. I don't know any bands that do Darkwave but it sounds cool. Does anyone know Darkwave bands?

Those bands are are nothing but Rock ,DeathMetal, Heavy Metal and Industrial.

My favorite bands are darkwave, which include.

Switch Blade Symphony
Black Tape for a Blue Girl
The Cruxshadows
and Lastly. Thirteen Thirteen, ( one of my favorite goups.. Except for the fact the name Thirteen Thirteen is UNGODLY common. Christ, there are well over a dozen bands with the same name.Do not confuse with the punk rock band "Thriteen: 13")

Darkwave does'nt have mainstream record labels with the exception of a few, but those guys and gals are borderling techno. = (

Actualy I just looked at the genre on LimeWire and as a matter of fact, All those bands that Sinnaku listed are in the catagory. Along with thousonds more. God I could never EVER list them all. But the few I looked at and listened to are these.

Bauphaus, Acid Bath, Switchblade Symphony, and Slipknot's 555 to the 666.

So the bands in Sinnaku's list are all Darkwave. I did see 'HIM' at the top of the list somewhere. And like every band up there. I made sure I would find them all so I just scrolled down every song for every band... It took a while but I found them.

So 19th, if you say those are all Death Metal and not Darkwave then you must not know what Darkwave really is.

I only heard of one band that flat out made crashed on god, Wednesday 13's God Is A Lie.

It's just about HOW they ludacrise the lord.

so what youre saying is that if a band doesnt say they think god sucks,then they arent good? if thats the case and i am reading that right,i think you need to keep your hate of god out of your music...to listen to bands only because they share a view point with you is very narrow minded. but this is just my opinion

Well at least you're correct, Blasphemar (has two spellings) but you did leave out blasphy, just short for blasphemy, so it means blasphemy first, and then total death wich is obvious.

I know what Genre they belong to due to the CD's I own.

If you trust anything listed as something else on LIVEWIRE, you really need to go to Record Stores and Music Stores. If you heard of the Livewire Porn Project, you would know that people will put anything into a Metatag or Search tag to get people to search it and click it. (The Porn Project was when this guy put fake filenames on two things, a hit song recently released and a video of a gorilla; he then filled the titles with every possible word he could think of. )



For those that BUY their music on CD's , Darkwave will be found under Alternative. This is why I blame the internet for people's lack of knowlage in what they really are listening to.

Darkwave has NEVER been mainstream, except in in Nightclubs.
Also. To add insult to injury, I decided to look up EVERY SINGLE BAND LISTED by everyone who replied to this post.



Darkwave also almost never has REAL instruments either, Darkwave is a a darker form of Techno for the musically disabled.

Darkwave is NOT Nu-Metal.

When I mentioned Adema, they are nu-metal pioneers. However they prefer to keep things simple and just be a rock n roll band.

Nu-Metal is the sad jiff off of grunge for a more modern time where is you asked someone if they listened to grunge they'd be like 'What's grunge?'

HIM is Darkwave. I just recently found out about HIM like a few days ago. I must say i'm very impressed.

You ask Death Metal? You can't NOT talk about GWAR. Each song about something different. Each song the same hardcore music we headbang to until we get dizzy.

Goth music has at least one song from almost avery band you can think of. (Band, not singer) Just to mention one: Dreadful Shadows.

Darkwave has a catagory that falls under many other larger genres. So Darkwave is considered a sub-genre.

And as for you, 19th, most bands start their carrers with Death Metal or Goth Rock. It won't pay to look at ALL the songs they have done. Slipknot has created several Darkwave songs. Coal Chamber may be known for Death Metal, but has made two Darkwave songs I am aware of. HIM, wich you did not list because I have found that EVERY ONE of his songs are in the Darkwave catagory. Slayer, just look at the song Hell Awaits (Hear it) and tell me that isn't Darkwave material I will smack you so hard by the time you come to you're going to need a new hair cut. Just because you listened to the 'Fake Styles' done by those bands doesn't mean they are strictly Death Metal. And if you got a problems with Metal Heads try taking it up with the 3 thousond there are in the United States. I'm sure they'll be happy to know you're issues.

You think we are the ones that are saying Darkwave is like Death Metal? Maybe you should learn your comandities over again. I don't see anyone that said Darkwave is the same thing as Death Metal. I know you don't either, you're just trying to put words in our mouths so you can feel like you are the only correct one in here. Get a life!

He doesn't know a thing about what real music like. Only on bull____ websites that would just consider country music to be the "mature metal" wich it's not.
