Depends... If they're freakin huge guns like Alucard's, probably guns... Otherwise, definitely blades: Claws, dual knives (held "reverse-style" of course), katana, and broadsword; In order of preference.

I can see myself carrying either.

I have a set of Shirasaya blades right in front of me that I practice with, but they aren't sharp..... at least not sharp enough to send me to the hospital while practicing......

I also used to use compressed air rifles to practice marksmanship, I'm pretty good in my opinion anyway.

I'd like both, the 3 Shirasaya blades I have (1 Katana, 1 Wakizashi, 1 Tanto) and an array of projectile weapons such as a .50cal sidearm, an assault rifle an M4 or an FAMAS G2, an smg maybe a P90 or an MP5/10A2, I could go on and on for firearms I'd like to carry....

actually with the right type of metal at the right type of angle it is possible to deflect bullets. anyway I have to go with blades. You have to be stronger to use them than with guns

Mmmm, but the question is ability. Let's say some guy with an M16A1 rifle fires a single round at you. The bullet will leave the muzzle, at 945 meters..yes, NINE-HUNDRED-FOURTY-FIVE meters a SECOND. Now, let's say you're at it's maximum range, 460 meters. Now in one second, the bullet can go roughly 700-800 meters(because of air resistance). So you have roughly 0.5 seconds to find where the bullet will strike, and then position your sword.

Sound likely to you? I don't believe any human has eyes fast enough to do so. So thats at 460 meters. If you have a sword, you're probably gonna be up at a max of 10. So that narrows your alotted time to defend down to...0.014 seconds to react. Hrm....not to mention the power involved. So the 5.56x45mm round that the M16A1 fires, weighs about 23 grams. So the momentum of the bullet will be 21.735 (about 48 pounds) kilograms of force slamming into your flimsy blade.

The only way to deflect a bullet is with luck....

And relying on luck usually gets a person killed.....

Both. I can't decide which I would like better, because they both rawk. Guns make holes, Blades make cuts. it's all good. >_<

sorry my friend. You might have to have skill and precession with a gun but it's not really your own power doing it now is it? At least wit h a blade it has something to do with your own strength instead of the power of gunpowder

I would rather use a blade than a gun, because you get to use all physical strength and there's more contact to where you feel your apponent...as to a gun you aim and shoot from a distance. Where's the fun in that?

I'd have to go with blades. Any idiot can use a gun. With a blade you need skills, and training.
