Has anybody noticed that there is an increasing amount of transvestites in anime over the past few years or is it just me? What are your views on this topic?

Ive seen an upsurge in transvestites too. They're always really wierd. Some are crazy.

sailor moon had a few (both on the good and bad side) also in one episode of yuu yuu hakusho they had a man vilian who dressed (pretended) to be a girl...umm..off hand those are the only ones that I can think of that have not already been mentioned (but I know they're are TONS).
