My favorite is tied between Dead or Alive or Guilty Gear. Both are really fun, DOA is technically more realistic (in comparison to Gear anyway), and the chicks are hotter, but Guilty Gear is sweet if you just want a giant randomness beatdown fest involving fans, guitars, yo-yo's and demonic dogs named Eddie.

I only wish that there were more choices to choose from like Virtua Fighter series, or maybe even the Guilty Gear series. But seeing as there are none of those choices above, I would have to vote for DoA, hands down.

Soul Calibur. Why isn't Soul Calibur up there?!?!

SC1 & 2 rock. And with SC3 coming out and using a new character creator its going to be the best one yet...

Guilty Gear isn't up there. Otherwise, I would chose Street Fighter. You can button mash, but you'll get your butt handed to you if you do that. I like the way that you have to do movements and push buttons to do certain stuff. But I have no clue what that fighting style is called.
