    My favorite combo is:
Solarion+the elf that gives mana for every elf you have in play enchanted with untap blue combo. Then just keep tapping and untapping Solarion.

Its been like three years since I have played...so I forgot the names to most cards. But my favorite combo I used in White protection deck was to use this equiped card on one of their cretures that states that all damage delt to me is delt to that creature. Then I give the creature the protection to its own color...so all damage delt to me is delt to it, and it can never get killed...so long as my oponent is only one colored deck

My favorite Card is Mageta the Lion. I have signed artist proof. He he.

One of my favorite combos is:
Life Gift - Gain One Life each time a Land comes into play
Fast Bond - You may play more than one land per turn, though you lose One Life for each land After the first
Crucible of Worlds- You may play lands out of the grave yard as though they were in your hand

As you can see.. with this you can easily get more land in play than your opponents.

Another one I like is this:

Phage the Untouchable - Kills everything it touches
Platinum Angel - Makes it so you can't lose the game and your opponents can't win
That Which Was Taken - Puts a divinity counter on thins making them indestructable

Bad part of that one is that once the That Which Was Taken leaves play, your items are no longer indestructable until another one comes into play.
There are cards, Like Darksteel Forge, Leonin Abunas, and Mycosynth Latis that help stop that from happening.

Anywho... living in a MTG household where there are Literaly over 500'000 MTG card dating all the way back to Alpha and Beta.. heh.. you learn some good combos.

    Another one... for ya..

Kiki Jiki Mirror Breaker - Tap and copy target critter. It gains haste.
Any Big Critter With Trample or Flying- ^_^
Intruder Alarm - Whenever a critter comes into play, untap all creatures. Creatures don;t untap during their controler's untap step.
Staff of Domination - You can untap target critter, namely the Kiki Jiki, though it needs more mana

That combo makes many BIG critters, all with Haste, that can attack and stomp your opponents.

Jeeze. What ever happened to the old fashion burn and counter decks?

    Let's see.
7th Edition Counter Spell and Boomerang, you can't use your big brawler or special effect creature when it's returned to your hand the moment you use it.

    My favorite burn combo deck!

Blood Rites + Vulshock Gauntlets + Furnace of Rath + Death Pits of Rath and a deck load of MiniMonsters that have Haste and Trample (Spark Elemental is perfect. Bring it out, equip it, ram it and Sacrifce him when your done? Might as well do it and abuse it.)

BloodRites , Sacrifce a monster and deal two damage to target player or monster
Vulshock gauntlets , Monster gets +4/+2 and does'nt untap during next turn. Oh my
Furnance of Rath, perments dealing double damage?
Death Pits of Rath? whenever damage is done to a creature, destroy it, it cannot be regenerated!
The best thing about a good ol fashion burn deck is , there is almost nothing that can disrupt it. It's fast enough ( well mine is anyway.) to burn off 15 life in 7 turns (including the person I'm playing against.) Even with the staples destroyed. <3

The thing I love about my decks is .. That they exist to destoy other decks from the inside out. My new blue deck combination is anti combo deck.
Plenty of boomerangs and conterspells and Aquire ( the one card that can disrupt just about 80% of combos. .)
Proteus Staff + Aether Charge + Plenty of Beasties , another simple and fast burn.

My first deck was a mostly solid counterspell deck with some bug blue critters.
Thing is.. people got so tired of it and stopped playing against me.

Counterspell and Burn decks, no offense, are for the beginners.
More experienced players move beyond that and think of new ways to mess with a player. Like ... finding and Infinate Critter Combo to play on turn 6.
    Yeah.
My roomate is building that deck now.

Countering and Buring your opponents is one thing... finding a way to pick them off without them knowing what's coming is another thing.

Oh! Something for your burn deck, though.
    Furnace of Wrath.

Plenty of boomerangs and conterspells and Aquire ( the one card that can disrupt just about 80% of combos. .)
Proteus Staff + Aether Charge + Plenty of Beasties , another simple and fast burn.

    Furnace of Wrath.
    http://www.wizards.com/global/images...pg?IctQual=100
It's Furnace of Rath. I currently own two, and I noted it in my blood rites combination. One I bought and another I got for a Wurm Trade.

Experienced players have moved on to be rather cheap, in terms of skill advanced players have been moving backwards. Rather than come up with a deck that can stand alone, they rely on combinations and cheesey lock-ups; If they come against a deck that utterly and totally ruins their plans , let's say a traditional Blue Counterspell deck, they won't have anything to defend or use.

I also planned my burn decks to corrispond to every possible situation, you do that.. When you're supposed to be doing other things. > >!
Zombie Burn, the only problem with it is ; If I use it too much the game ends in a draw.
Goblin Burn, once again. Can end the game in a Draw.
Face Down Burn, you know Ixidor was good for something.
Beast Burn, you see it comming. You just can't stop it.
It's always funny to beat an "expert" player with an always called "newbie" deck.
White-Red Angel and Beast Burn. Anyone remeber a card called Rule of Law?
Only spell per turn, my only spell being either a beast with trample with an Aether storm and Smoke in play and Silent Arbiter. ( No more than one can attack and no more than one can block.)

    One more thing.
Most experts can't win without their Rare cards. I started with commons and can prove that the power of Commons triump over all.

Ravenous Vampire with Fog of Gnats (or some other card with regenerative abilities for only one swamp)

this allows you to bump up your Ravenous Vampire +1/+1 every turn, and keep your creature.

interesting. Lava Zombie plus Sinister Strength. that gives you a Zombie of 4/3 +3/+1. also if you tap either one or two colorless mana, you can add +2/+0 giving you a 9/4. talk about power

why not just have a complete sliver deck...that way you've got as many combos as you've got creatures..especially if you've got all the slivers...

This can be discussed in the other thread. But I'll be nice and let this topic go on for 3 days. So on Wednesday, I'll likely fuse this topic into the other big thread.

If you want this to stay in a seperate topic, PM me with your reason.

any and all combos can work, its just that you have to think things over first. if you're facing an opponent who has nothing but an army of weak monsters that can be brought back from the grave whenever possible, then you need a combo that can permanently destroy his/her monsters. a couple of circles/runes of protection would really screw them over if they have no enchantment destroyers that is

did you guys know that one of the World Tournament Poker players learned to play poker from playing Magic the Gathering? its true!! i watched it on TV!! i think that Magic is sort of like Dungeons & Dragons. you have to know different ways of defeating your opponents cause you never know who might be watching the way you play. i always change my style of playing

what does that have to do with MTG combo's?

here's one, Spellbook (Artifact) and Scent of Jasmine (Plains/White)
Spellbook allows it's owner to have an unlimited hand size, and then Scent of Jasmine gives 2 life for very card in it's owner's hand.
Be very careful, because the wolves of life will devour your soul.
